Options. Some of the car have no options, some look to have a lot of options.
Does due upon purchase refer to what it costs today to purchase the slot ? I just thought the disparity was more private party sellers making a buck --- I know nuthin I haven't read here. 😁

There is not enough detail to tell honestly. If you wanted the car you'd be responsible for the total amount. What was put down in deposit and options, and then the balance probably 30 days before delivery.

I don't know if this is Speed trying to help sellers find buyers, or if Speed is acting as a broker, or what.

The purchase prices have increased a bit. I don’t know the exact numbers.

Then you have people selling spots over what they paid..

I heard that someone sold a bandit that was in the 1700’s (spot number) for like 12,500 over (profit) yesterday. 😳😳

If anyone is gonna be screwed and waiting awhile, it is gonna be those Bandit people.

Do we know how much these cars will weigh?

I want to say 2200-2300#, but I'm not sure. I don't know if they have scaled one and mentioned the weight yet.

It is gonna be in the realm of a fully prepped and upgraded Can Am or RZR that you add a bunch of weight to.

It will be heavy.

That was my impression as well. I think this is just Speed trying to connect buyers with people that want out for some reason.

Just looking at it it looks more “stout” so that’s what I figured. On the website it also looks like he will be offering a 2 seater on the 4 seat chassis.

Yea everything is bigger than any traditional UTV. Everything is bigger on the new Polaris cars too, so it will be interesting to see these 2 side by side.

There are (2) 2 seaters planned and a 4 seater. Each does have a different wheelbase and chassis. The El Diablo 2 seater with the longer wheelbase is a bit shorter than the 4 seater.

We have seen nothing on the short wheelbase 2 seater yet, and that one has the fewest orders by a longshot, like less than 10% I heard at one point. Those people might be waiting awhile when these things debut.

The EL Diablo has a longer bed (like 50" I believe) and some storage area behind the front seats. The 4 seater has a 36" bed to fit a 35" spare tire.

If you go on the website it is showing multiple trim levels for the long wheelbase 2 seater now. I’m still a new to the Speed stuff but it looks like they making a somewhat production 2 seat desert car like the big boys have.

There are multiple trim levels for each car. The RG spec comes with those graphics shown and you have a choice of 3 colors, 2 wheels in black or silver, alcantara seat covers and steering wheel, window nets, and comms.

LE spec comes with vinyl seat covers and steering wheel, no comms or window nets, and you can choose from 3 graphics packages and choose your colors. Same 2 wheels choices in black or silver. You can go to the "visualizer" and play with that.

Base car comes with no roof, non beadlock wheels, less trim, composite seats instead of carbon, no graphics choices.

The are nice but about double what I want to spend, I’ll just live vicariously through about half of RDP once these get delivered lol.

I think you are right, the Speed UTVs may not have been used for each driver, but I know all RG's pre running was going to be done in the UTV. It will be interesting to hear how it went and how many miles they put on when they get back.
Every vid he posted on his IG page he was pre running in the gordini or his newly acquired tsco trophy truck.

Just buy a used RZR, you’ll have 90% of the fun.

One of the things I admire about ole LOF is the sheer tenacity.. lol. Never say die

Imagine if this "tenacity" was on another, less popular subject. The difference between pleasing the King and being beheaded simply depends on what makes the King happy. It doesn't hurt that the King has 3 spots in this line.

Tenacity is admirable, revisionist history and his penchant for editing his posts a little less so.

“Accuse the other side that of which you are guilty” comes to mind.

19 + months of history is right here in this thread.

More like 100% of the fun. Just because you are running around in a l33t car doesn't make it more fun. Maybe for someone's ego it does.

Going 75 if you care to instead of 55 is more fun. Having another 100 HP is more fun.

I went to Glamis with my NA 1000 RZR. It was fun, but I’d call the power adequate. There was no extra power. I could go everywhere and do everything.. adequately. I was flooring it everywhere. Buzzed around in my friends Turbo S.. it was a riot but 2x the cost of my car.

Desert totally different story. An NA 1000 RZR is fine 98% of the time.

It's all relative. I had 100% fun in my ATC 70.

That’s the plan, I’m hoping someone ordering a new Speed or Pro R has a nice XP4 Turbo they want to part with next year.
You can get one in February according to @RiverDave since that’s when our bets deadline is. Still waiting to see where I need to send my 1000 to collect his 1000 when he doesn’t get his car.

You mean they didn’t have enough time to cheat and cut the course yet again lol.
Are you talking about the guy that pulled his TT over, hooked up a tow strap to Larry Roeseler's TT, and towed him to his pit to get him back in the race? Because that's what RG just did in this 1000.

The way he drives that truck, I can't believe the motor and transmission last a hundred miles, more less 1000. But the truck made it, and he said that the only real issue was a couple of flats that set them back an hour. Stuffing it into that ravine didn't help either, LOL.

Before virtual checkpoints, "creative" line choices in Mexico were the accepted way to win a race. It's not a fucking conga line from start to finish, if you want to win then you've got to find clean air and and better line choices than the guy in front of and behind you.

And please don't take this as some bullshit nutswinging comment, I'm no more or less of an RG fan than any other real racer.

I just honestly don't understand all the hate for him, whether it's his racing program or his Speed UTV program. If people want to plop down 5k ahead of time on what could be a really great car, why the hate, since it's not your money?

If someone isn't into waiting on his UTV program, then go buy a Razr or Can-Am like everyone else. Hit up Bert's or Chaparral and buy a stock car with a bunch of bolt ons for 45 k, and go have fun tomorrow.

Vs. the tenacity of the uninformed who come in here to complain about a car they have no interest in, nor have the slightest idea what’s going on with the development process.

It’s like bludgeoning baby seals most of the time.

Another uninformed post lol.

Like RG or not, what he did in the race for a competitor was pretty cool.
I watched that clip. Pretty cool. RG obviously has a friendship with larry r.
Larry needed the points for the series.

Yes this is exactly what I did, the total due at deposit is what the sellers total has in their car a deposit and added accessories.
You then get that credit towards your purchase #1317 had a $12,351.94 due which included the $1500 deposit I now have a balance due of $17,648.06 for a total of $30k
The build sheet for #1317 now starts over I will now build the car with the colors and additional accessories, radio, toolboxes, light bars and more the way I want it built.
There are no additional fees or profit due to the seller.

Let’s be honest, he had no chance to place. So why not help someone out. Doesn’t make him an angle or a devil.

Exactly right. Remember the posts in this thread that said they wouldn’t do business with someone that took an unapproved line in a race just 6 weeks ago?

Should I be worried or take it as a compliment that you are so invested in Speed hate you are now tracking people’s sleep patterns? 🤣

It was a goof on "It's 10PM do you know where your kids are?"

Another advantage for speed. Why would you add 2 more cylinders and keep same 12 gal fuel tank? I guess no more 🔥. Lol. Speed has 15 gal tank and upgradable to about 30 gal in Diablo for racing.
