So no news on when potential production starts. They say maybe 60 days, but until they give a date who knows.
I also don’t see dealerships waiting for direct orders to be delivered before getting units. I could see a direct production run of 500 occurring, then a dealership allocation occurring. They will lose the dealership network if they don’t get cars.

He’s laughing at Polaris but he’s to one tracked on building a desert trophy truck style SXS I think that will limit his market and in return keep Polaris/can am miles ahead. I’d bet there’s a bigger market for this thing than the speed utv.

I dont want to revise the statement.

I dont need to see the assymbly line. But it is a wild card for sure.

I did not need to see the can am line because it was on the dealer floor.
Also they are bombardier. Ive been on their payroll so i trust them.

They orange cement did look good. Plug and play audio is nice. Can am has this now with rockford

That is fine, but the direct sold cars are going to have some value going into next desert season. There won’t be enough in dealers yet come September 2022... it’s gonna look like Pro Rs right now.. few and far between.

If they kick this off in 60 days, that is 120 days to first deliveries at an absolute minimum, which I don’t think is realistic. I think we are 150-180 days out from delivery of the first cars. They will still be delivering direct to consumer cars, and they just might be starting to get to dealers by Sand Show time.

The southwest desert market is the biggest UTV market period.

I’m sure they have the allocations worked out in their contracts. They aren’t loosing anyone with 12k cars in the pipeline coming to dealers only in the Southwest.

That is a lot of inventory, labor and accessories. I don’t recall anyone ever saying no to money. They all are already aware Speed also sells units direct.

They say payment 30 days before delivery.

You can convert whenever you want at this time.. I would assume if you don’t want to pay, sell the spot.

Just trying to understand how this is going to work.

What kind of notice do you expect on that call?

If you get the call 31 days out your number is up - you need to cough the money up in a day.

If you miss your payment window and cant sell your spot in time what happens- do you forfeit your down?

I don’t know how it will work, but I doubt a 24 window will be what happens. 30 days is when they say payment due, not when they will notify you.

I suspect it may be an opportunity to pick up a spot for cheap for those that don’t have cash or can’t qualify for financing.

To be honest, I’m just paying with cash, so this isn’t a situation I’ve thought much about, other than I will need assurances of a delivery date before forming over any more money.

I don’t know what happens to the down at that point if someone is “evicted” from their spot.

You assume he’s going to take all of it?! You’re also assuming that nobody is rock crawling in the southwest.

Where did I say that? I said the southwest is the biggest UTV market. It makes sense to make a product with the biggest addressable market.

What about rock crawling? Put it in low gear, lock the front diff, and crawl up rocks.

Dealerships will hold cars until customers pickup near their location. Just like Ford Bronco. Many dealers didn’t have any for awhile unless customer decided not to pick up. My guess is some dealers will entice buyers with cash to sell to them. Then they’ll mark it up $20K and sell it. Just like Ford Bronco.

LOF when do you think you will have your car in hand ? It they start in 60 day shouldn’t they have the accessories like seats and radios etc ? I know a friend at a radio company they are using and they have not received any PO yet And they are a minimum 90+ days to get product to speed. So maybe 120 days out ?

I’m thinking 150-180 days to deliveries.

Based on the call I got this week and also what they said tonight, your friend might be getting called in the next couple weeks. They are going through the final customer sign off in the next 2 weeks.

Well two things.. we have all had plenty of time to figure it out.

Second thing is they offer financing now.

First thing I have read that I find a little shocking.. I am surprised they haven’t procured or at least been in advanced discussion with both rigged and pci by now?

Why arnt dealers just buying your spots now and not waiting? Or other peoples spots that are considerably cheaper?

You go Carl...
"I’m not in a hurry to sale and will wait for price I’m asking. No trades and non-negotiable price. I know what I have and I will keep it before I let it go for less. Life is short, live everyday like it’s your last. If not sold by delivery, my selling price will increase. Selling Price today best offer over $80,000 firm. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity."

I think we are too far out yet. To @Uncle Dave point maybe some of the savvy dealers will pick up spots “ in distress” closer to payment time for people that can’t gather funds.

Based on what little Ive gleaned....

I believe the spot flippers are going to be caught in a similar position to a short squeeze and give up any profit on a position.

When the call does come for money rightfully it will come fast and hard.

Guy buying one for themselves will be ok.

Assuming someone can’t pay for the spot, sure. I’m going to try to pick up another car in distress at that time if I can. A dealer would jump right on a chance to get a car a month or 3 early and mark it up $15k.

They aren’t going to call you and give you a day to pay them. That would be stupid on their part.

I'm guessing they will notify you of an expected production date of your vehicle with a due date of payment. Most likely a 30 day window to pay in full.

I would agree. They do have financing options, and the monies already deposited for any options count towards a down payment for financing.

Show me on the Robby Gordon doll where Carl hurt you.
No clue who the hell Carl is. Don’t care.
80k is hilarious.

For what’s it’s worth I could careless about the Speed car debacle. If he is successful I don’t care. If he burns you all I don’t care.

By the way I’m willing to sell the build spot for my f250 no idea when it’s going to get built or delivered but I am asking double what I paid.

Sounds silly right?

People do this with boats every year.. the man can ask whatever he wants. Let the market kick him in the Giraffe pussy :)

If Carl gets even $60 we would all be floored.
Wait what the hell lol?

You just gave me shit because I said he is high as fuck. But now you agree that he is priced insanely high.
I’m so confused. 🤣

Trade F250 for Bronco in that sentence and you have real life. Not so silly I guess?

Is this thing really going to be that much better that the Pro R? I have seen videos and they are absolutely amazing, from the dash to suspension, etc, etc.

I can only imagine what Can AM comes with.

We will see. I think Polaris makes the best all around car for the average person to just get in and go.

The Speed car is a car for the racer or gearhead. Less electronics, lots more adjustment, more power. It’s got more features standard in that regard.

Can Am I’d say had a better engine/trans/interior and handling but it needed the most maintenance and modification. Will be interesting to see what they respond with.

My only interest in Robbie and his Speed Cars endeavor is seeing how this all plays out relative to me keeping or removing the RG initials from my Wildcat XX 😁 Oh and also to find out eventually if he's going to include Wildcat XX servicing at his LHC location. 👍

I am surprised that none of the RDP doubters has raised the suspicion bar a notch or two higher due to Todd Romano's BS Degree from ASU being Psychology o_O
Hmmmmm, that in addition to his well documented Marketing Wizardry, well I think I need not suggest more. ;)

If you are financing - they can lock in the financing 30 days before delivery. If paying cash, 30 day notice with payment due on delivery. They can’t force cash buyers to pay in full 30 days in advance. They can force cash buyer to have funds verified before delivery (no check on day of, check needs to be submitted and cleared before car leave lot).

for direct buyers - where will delivery be, that is the question I have.

Agreed. I am a cash buyer and have my car being delivered to Havasu. I assume I will be picking up the car at the Havasu dealership.
