Just wondering why they are using wood instead of all the new composites that will last forever?

I have ran her a few times since June and Wrapped up all the loose ends and finishing touches.

We ended up adding a through hull water Pick-up as we were loosing pressure at high speed with Jackplate in Down position.
Kyle and Cole at WOT decided it was best to weld closed the pick-up on Gear case. They Tested in mission bay see video ran out of prop with the 32 so Chad Hill is making a 34 small hub 4 Blade Cleaver.

Looking forward to Running her in Parker Tomorrow before the Holiday Crowd.

I had given some details on Wheelers post Twister 24 about the all around handling at all speeds is better than I could have expected

Gator Step makes the wife Happy and is nice for docking at Foxes😀.

The Tanks were shifting slightly with the pull strap Twister used so I added Ratchet straps with strip of Gator step.

Got the Side panels and rear bench put back together and added some decals on the Cawling.

Tried to load Video again no go. Wheeler can you load.

I also made a 8" x 48" Splash plate to keep the tunnle wash down at slow speeds over 40 mph its out of the water.
Makes it nice to enter with Handle.

Interested to hear that answer, but last I looked at the numbers balsa wood still has the best numbers.

Read post #14-15 I noted materials used no Balsa. Divinycell Coring, Kevlar Structural Laminate And Okume Plywood Transom and Bulkheads Fully Glassed. I have had other boats with composite transoms fail.

Twister is a small company only building 3 Boats a year. They are a bit old school but probably learned what works on the race course.
I Would not want the boat any lighter and the good thing is you could have a dance part on the deck.

Haven't been following - jumped in just today and saw the question figuring it hadn't been answered.
Thanks though!
Looks like a lot of fun.

Thanks I am more than happy with the results.
She's pretty happy cruising at any speed from 20 no bow rise. 40 the Tunnel drag lifts water cleans up and floats over surfboat wakes also good turning speed.
60 smooths out gets on top, 80 if conditions with boat traffic allow you can cruise and not have to slow down for wakes. If I get on it 80-100 happens fast with just a couple prop torque side to side motion no Porpoise but can avoid by smooth acceleration 0-100.
I cruised at a 100 for several miles just under 6000 RPM to be sure water pressure and temp were good being she lifts to next level over 100.
If I hammer down from 6000 rpm she was on the soft limiter very quick and ran out of prop at 113. I do like the acceleration with 32 4 blade Hill Cleaver
even with 4 people in the boat but will run a 34 just to see whats left on solo sped runs as things cool and quite down in Parker.

If your ever in Parker hit me up we are out at least monthly. Any of you Parker regulars feel free to drop by if you see her on the Dock down River or hanging at

Thank you VERY much for taking all of us thru this process. Incredible boat. How has gear lube looked? Got a buddy starting a build of a lil larger tunnel that will have a single outboard. He is familiar with singles "in the tunnel" and hopefully he will be able to share here.

I'm getting there, thanks to you. After alot of shitty hours with modification, repairs and old shortcuts, i'm going to gelcoat spray it this week. I needed the inspiration from you'r boat. I got in love the first time someone showed me the picture on the trialer with a big roof and long sidewindows, i know you was into something smart there. One day my boat would look something like that.

The other boats, is just my job from 8am to 4pm these days. The Twister is 4pm 9-10pm every day these days

Thanks, guys!

Quite a difference in price...
I can get more of those, to that price. As you can see, have so many of them that they just are stashed everywhere.

When you get a good deal, just say: i take 10 of them. When shit get real and you have 10 of them, scratch you'r head and ask your self "what the hell do i buy now? I need to use all those cowls" then reality hits you hard and you sell some of them

Yes Hill is making some top Quality props these days and will customize to each set up. 34 Cleaver, 32 Cut Performer and 32 Eagle. Chad was nice enough to build these to test!!.

I did order a 32 Intimidator Quad 4 Large Short Barrel Cleaver Blade Hydromotive from Todd the Owner. He did say the Class C guys run a 28 Rough water 30 Smooth with the 200Xs.

How do you get in touch with the builder? That's such a great looking hull, I would love to build one.

28-32 are they using, but they have all been at andvik propellers or winrace propellers for some love and massage :)

I was curious after you posted about ronhill's, so today i bought one today, a 14.5x30 5 blade. Got it to a good price, so couldnt say no

Glad to hear you were able to find A Hill Cleaver. The 4 blade seams to work better on 2 strokes less torque.

I received the 32 Hydromotive Large short Barrel round ear Cleaver and the 32 Promax small barrel. I plan to run Next Friday in Parker
hopefully get some more speed. Both Props are 14 1/2" Diameter.

I will be on the water Friday if anyone would like a ride. We have Waterski race Havasu Springs Saturday and Sunday.

I saw the questions and didn’t want to speak out of turn. I can say that Craig loves this boat, he’s not selling it because there’s anything wrong with it or he wants something different. He’s spent a lot of time setting it up and it’s absolutely dialed in. The next owner will be in love with it I’m sure!
