I live in Chino, going to look at it tomorrow if he still has it. Don't need this but if its this clean it will be a good buy!

I saw the add earlier today and I knew it would show up here. Congrats to whoever grabs it. It looks like a great boat. I saw another 240 running around havasu earlier today. It looked like one that was posted on the board as newly purchased.

That's a smokin' deal if it's as clean as it seems. Nice ones are hard to find at that price. That price usually gets you something neglected and beat to shit.

I hope you get it! If you were first in line hopefully the other inmates will give you first crack at it. Good luck and now you can't lowball him with all the interest you might end up paying and extra 1k or 2

Damn that thing looks clean. The space inside these 240's is incredible. I actually know of a very clean low hour 240 that has been sitting. Owner just had a heart attack and survived. It might be available soon as I told him the demand is insane right now so no use holding on to it if he isn't going to use.

Will see if I'm first. I just know its an early Monday morning. if it works out this would be the 4th 240 in my wife's family and our first lake boat.

Are you prepared to pay a higher amount
I know.....right? If it is as clean as it looks and everything checks out I can see someone coming in and making a higher offer than ask. Might be a move on the seller to get a ton of interest and then make guys bid against each other.

It would suck for the buyers, but when the inventory is low might as well see who is gonna give the highest bid. That's why if I was in his shoes I'd go in with a higher bid up front maybe 1k higher or if he starts talking about all the interest maybe say will 1500 more make this deal happen today.

Just looking at the pics I can't see how that boat isn't just clean and turn key

I'm not desperate to buy. So if it is still available tomorrow and looks clean as he described it over the phone last night then I'll go from there.

There is a difference between being desperate and supply. If there are not many out there and this is a 9 to a 10 it comes down to maybe having to pay more. Sorry if he came out sounding like you might be desperate. That wasn't the intent

I agree there is a difference and no you didn't come off that way. But if the seller starts uping his price when I'm there then we have to see if I'm willing. But no one wants to pay more than asking even when inventory is down. I just wish I was more in the position to have bought oldschoolboats buddy's Howard offshore at that time.

If its possibly for sale again it would suck. Capitalism at its finest. The fam could have used that boat for years (twin 4 yr old girls) would have made lots of memories . Not trying to lay on the guilt trip to thick. Lol Is it working. ?

It was a great buy like others have said. I'll get mine in due time. Congrats to who got it.

I think that's a killer deal for a timeless boat. Still not many boats that are in the same league in comfort and style. I paid more for my 1998 240.

If the boat is as clean as it looks with that low of hours there is no doubt in my mind it would sell for 23k +

Used market is crazy right now.

⚓️ Hope all is well Nick!

Things are going Great again! Just got done working for the day, trying to knock out a few jobs so I can spend a few extra days at the River this weekend for Memorial. One of these days I will ride up with Allen and hang out in Havasu. Upgraded boats to one that can handle Havasu. Meet up this Summer at some point.

Goes hand in hand with housing market, which is booming as well. 2 years ago I got $15K for my Ultra I think it would go for $22K now. To bad my friend put $14K in upgrades which he will never get back out of it, he has used it twice could of made $7k.

That's a big part of it...

The bot market was almost 100% stagnant from 08-12 so there is a big void in the used market.

2012-16 stuff is still big $$$ or not on the market yet so clean used bots are bringing way more than they should....just no inventory.

I could have sold my sleek for probably 8-10k more today than when it sold 2 years ago but the Hallett I bought would have been 5-7k more.
