That's a big part of it...

The bot market was almost 100% stagnant from 08-12 so there is a big void in the used market.

2012-16 stuff is still big $$$ or not on the market yet so clean used bots are bringing way more than they should....just no inventory.

I could have sold my sleek for probably 8-10k more today than when it sold 2 years ago but the Hallett I bought would have been 5-7k more.
You stole that 210 though!

Not gonna spill the beans but I know where it went and it will be for sale in Havasu within a week!

Kind of dumb imo. I guess making money is good and if the seller didn't care whatever. But would have been better for a family to get into it at a great price and really enjoy it. That was part of my selling process. Wanted to make sure more than anything the boat was going to a good home and would be taken care of and enjoyed.

I couldn't agree more, but business is business and I assume when you sell boats for a living it's deals like these that put money in your pocket! The every day stuff just covers bills and payroll and puts some cash away but most goes back into the business. Key thing is that both parties were happy which they were. One guy got paid more then he was asking and the other can make a couple bucks👍

Gotta be quick if you are gonna get the drop on the Havasukid.. :D

Thought I was. Had an appt at 6:30am Monday as the guy was out of town. I was available all day Sunday. I guess you need to tell the seller I'll pay more than asking then maybe you get to see it earlier.

He was out of town but still in Ca. All someone had to do was find the guy and run him out a deposit sight unseen. Sometimes you gotta roll the dice. Havasukid was thinking outside the box. I gotta give him props as I know a couple other people in group texts that were waiting until Monday so they could figure out how to buy it also.

I think it's gonna get some use in Parker this weekend. Should be a fun boat to haul everyone around.

Yes he was in palm desert for the weekend. I guess I just need to know how to play the game.. I wouldn't expect for you to have a different opinion as your in the business. All is good though just a little bummed thats all, it was a great buy at today's prices.

It's all of that and new boats are oppressively expensive. You have much less into your boat than buying an equivalent new one I'm sure.

Yep, just wait for another one. Sure, 19.5k appeared to be a great deal for a 240, but it was a 1992 boat & you would of had to have seen it in person & done a walk-a-round to determine what is was worth to you. The best thing to do in threads like this is to not post when you see the link & immediately call the seller. The lurkers in these threads are reading the comments & are often times the ones that buy the boats. I'm not sure what other makes/models or price range you're looking at? But I'll keep an eye out for you & pm you anything that I think you might like. It might not be 19.5k, but I'll try to keep you as close to that number as I can.:thumbsup

What he said,

if your a serious buyer and you find a what appears to be a good deal you have to act quick and not let everyone on a public forum know what your up to. Sale is going to go to the first one that proves they are committed to buying what ever it may be.
