If you’re still in hope I’d recommend ice house pizza. It’s pretty tasty.

Also, you have to get a huckleberry pie while you’re there. Area staple. They can be a bit tart but up there is the only place you really get them.

(Sorry I see you’re in CDA now. Huckeberry pie still stands).

Interested to hear your opinions on cda compared to pend orielle. I like pend better. Slower pace. Better lake. Less bougie.
Don’t tell anyone about the huckleberry tank. Save that for us.

We are at the tamarack Rv park in town.. and just kinda messing around. Our dog gets full on anxiety from the motorhome AC’s so we generally have been taking him everywhere, leaving him for extremely short periods of time, or having someone stay back.

I think we check out tomorrow, the kids have some one hour horseback riding thing Stacy booked. I’m not sure what the afternoon evening plans or even where we are going next?

If I can find a place to stash the motorhome and leave the dog in it for a few hours I’d love to see the lake by boat!

RD
Headed home, need to check with the wife, but if you’re available this afternoon we could hit the lake today instead of tomorrow. Call me, # is in your pms.

You are welcome to stash it at our place. We have plenty of asphalt with a fenced in yard for your rig and dog <2 miles from Tamarack.

If ya don’t mind I’d like to keep this in my back pocket god forbid my Rv spot isn’t available tomorrow? Can you text me your number?

That's our go-to in Sandpoint. We stumbled upon it by accident in July one year because it was the only place open to eat downtown at 8:00 pm. Very unassuming on the outside, so the tourists often overlook it and opt for the brewery instead. I realize I'm technically a tourist, but my parents live in Spirit Lake, so we spend a lot of time in the area. :) Plus, we don't really consider you Upstate Idaho peeps tourists here in W. Montana, I feel like it's kinda reciprocal there for us. Could be wrong.

So today we got quite the lineup..

Two of the Kids are off horseback riding. Stacy is dealing with some work stuff..

Summer and I decided to take the members advice and head over to Chompers Cafe!!

Then we have a boat ride scheduled at 2:00 with DJ on a wakeboat to check out CDA..

Then we got @chadzilla picking us up at 6:00 for a second boat ride around the lake in the 335!

Honestly one boat ride would have been enough but he has the same boat I do but with different lowers so I really want to see how his runs compared to mine, because I’m currently like 15 mph off the mark.

The “Settlement” in Priest River is the best dinner I’ve found around here. Pearl’s in Beyond Hope was good also but I’ve only been there once. Idaho Club is real nice but the dinner wasn’t as impressive as the overall establishment. Wasn’t bad by any stretch, but didn’t equal the surroundings. Baxter’s across the street from Eichardts is good also.

So yesterday started out great with the kids going horseback riding, good lunch at Chompers.. kids and dog having fun in this giant park next to chompers.. Seeing a speed car at a dealership up here and taking a pic of it because I know it’s gonna raise BPRacing a blood pressure.. lol

But things took a turn from fun to epic day when we met up with @25Elmn8r (aka DJ)

He said since we were going with Chad later we should check out Hayden lake..

They have this cool public beach area with a concession for basic food and sunscreen etc..

I suspect a lot of teenagers begin and end relationships here.. lol.

The launch and retrieval program at this lake is pretty crazy.. if you look in the earlier pics it’s a lane three boats wide and people have boats on both sides so you kinda have to thread a needle to get to your trailer.

The parking lot is tiny and there is cars parked for like a 1/2 mile leading up to this place. lol. Luckily we got a spot right up front.

This concludes our three hours on Hayden lake!

While we were at the sandbar @25Elmn8r made mention that he hadn’t been in a powerboat since he sold his blown Daytona.. so I told him he should come on CDA with Chad and Melanie.

Ran back to the motorhome and dropped off kids and picked up Stacy and headed over to Blackwell island launch ramp.

Where we met DJ, Tammy, Chad and his wife Melanie

Our weapon of choice for this day is a 335 with 625 ilmor’s and SCT drives.

As you will see there is baller houses all over this lake and rivers.. something I didn’t know is there’s several rivers that attach you to other lakes so you can boat all over the place out here.

@RiverDave - Glad you and the kids enjoyed our little slice of heaven on Hayden. Thank You for the invite out with Chad and Melanie, we had a great time on the boat and at dinner! I'm tired today! LOL

@RiverDiva - Great to meet you, and Tami really enjoyed the time with you.

Safe travels and we'll see you guys in a few weeks.

@chadzilla - Great finally meeting you and thanks to you and Melanie for the ride on your bitchen Hallett!

All the movie stars Stancrafts.. then all their kids have ridiculously expensive wakeboard boats on the other side.. pretty wild!

@chadzilla could explain all the different StarlnCraft’s.. but their first painted one is in there.. their first center console.. bunch of bitchen boats!

x2! Amazing place. Is there a speed limit on this lake?

You may have done this place a disservice with this thread. It would been better off not being shared on RDP or any other media outlet. I want to move there!
Technically speaking, yes. 55mph. However, if you head south towards the less populated area of the lake, they don't bother you. If you go tearing across Cougar bay, they will nail you every time.

I spent many summers at Gozzer Ranch working on those boats! Lots Hollywood elites there. Impressive if that is your thing but I cared more about the boats than the people! StanCrafts have a ride and feel like nothing else I've ever driven. Truly works of art. I guess it is kinda cool when you can name off a dozen elites of whom you've worked on their boats!

The funny thing is, I wouldn't recognize a modern "star", but I can really appreciate the craftsmanship of some of those boats.

The RD family is on an epic trip. It's neat that they were able to see the lake from the water and you were able to help with that, and we were able to see it too!

I mean 55 MPH isn’t slow. I thought I heard it was 35MPH. Thst was just hearsay though.
