Was a great trip with a really good group of people. Wife and I had a blast.
one of my favs...christ.
Pix of the trip.
Right!!! Hallett, Dam run AND McRaft-up. Would be nice to have on different weekendsHope this ends up on a different weekend than the damn dam run next year as I’d like to attend both.
I should have asked him after I paired off with him coming out of the Marina Saturday nightI’m wondering who did that windshield on the 335.. that looks way better than the other ones
This is an unofficial gathering. It can happen anytime!Right!!! Hallett, Dam run AND McRaft-up. Would be nice to have on different weekends

I saw you guys pulling out to tube! What is that ball in the middle of the tow rope? What does it do?Hey, a photo with our boat in it
Here’s a video right after that photo from our boat
It does a couple things, it keeps the rope from splashing the kids so much, it does a bit of shock absorber and it helps keep the rope out of the prop.I saw you guys pulling out to tube! What is that ball in the middle of the tow rope? What does it do?
Your boat looked and sounded great. Sorry I didn't come say hi!It does a couple things, it keeps the rope from splashing the kids so much, it does a bit of shock absorber and it helps keep the rope out of the prop.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t recording when we dumped them. It was an epic cartwheel, all 3 of them like a perfect waterfall splashsplashsplash LMAO. Smiles all around!
We’ll catch up on the next oneYour boat looked and sounded great. Sorry I didn't come say hi!
Funny you say that, my buddy and I were looking at my exhaust tips after you pulled away seeing if we could pull the mufflers out. We’ll catch up on the next one
personally, aside from the twins, I think I have one of the best sounding boats on the water (a little bias on my part) my wife thinks it’s too loud and too fast. We did bomb it through the narrows on the way back to wishing well, she let out a hell of a scream. I think this trip changed her mind
lol its in good shape for being 30 years old, 1600 hours and all original except for the engines.Funny you say that, my buddy and I were looking at my exhaust tips after you pulled away seeing if we could pull the mufflers out.
We will definitely have to catch up on the next one!
The all yellow 27 next to you was good looking too. It was immaculate!
I'm pretty sure we met for a second? LOL . You never know who is an RDP member or just a lurker.lol its in good shape for being 30 years old, 1600 hours and all original except for the engines.
Dave is definitely a lurker hahahaI'm pretty sure we met for a second? LOL . You never know who is an RDP member or just a lurker.
saturday afternoon got a little blurry.I'm pretty sure we met for a second? LOL . You never know who is an RDP member or just a lurker.
That it did..... thursday was pretty blurry(or was it friday?) after margaritas at dinner and cocktails at the bar in the hotel. Evidently bartenders don't like being called "barkeep" from across the bar! I wouldn't have had to yell if she'd quit wiping down the counter and pour me and my friends a few drinks!saturday afternoon got a little blurry.
Great catching up with you and the wife Saturday at the bar. This trip was a lot of fun…cool crowd. Long drive home with great memories! Here’s a few pics I got…wish I took more!

If I’m not mistaken, that was the original. @Runs2rch can confirmLooks like a great time! Any details on the yellow 250? That boat is CLEAN!
as cool as mead is.........Powell is better. Time for a Hallett get together at Powell.
I wish it wasn't such a hassle to get there. It burns up a lot of my vacation time. We need a driver and an Airplane Next time. LOL I want to do a houseboat I think.... Amazing lake to explore. That is definitley going to happen again. @Hammer
and I went last year and had an blast. We are also talking about day tripping to Mojave for a run up to the damn.
Pics from last year.

i'm glad its a hassle to get there....its already busy enough......imagine if it was the same drive from socal to Havasu...........I wish it wasn't such a hassle to get there. houseboats are deceiving.....they are fun but its a ton of work, time and cost. been there done that. I find it more fun nowadays to just camp on the lake. way less headaches, tons of fun and you will get to see more of the lake.
Agree 100 percent. Way easier to camp vs houseboat shenanigans.i'm glad its a hassle to get there....its already busy enough......imagine if it was the same drive from socal to Havasu...........

Why? Its fun. I grew up camping Mead, Mohave and Powell. You just need a closed deck. That was my only complaint last year, I didn't see enough of the lake. We stayed at Wahweap, by the time I got far and really wanted to explore more, it was time to go back. Camping on the lake would be cool, the wife isn't going to go for that though..... I agree that a houseboat would be a ton of work.
to a certain extent i can understand someones hesitation to camp. I have been out there camping when ugly weather came through. there isnt a bathroom at you immediate convenience. all sorts of reasons. That was my only complaint last year, I didn't see enough of the lake. we are heading out for labor day.............Why? Its fun. I grew up camping Mead, Mohave and Powell. You just need a closed deck.
I'm still on the hunt for a boat.we are heading out for labor day.............
Off market type deal usually.Love seeing the OG 400s. Wish they would come up for sale more often, more often than 285s for example.
The more I look at this and saw how it performed the more I want one for myself.I wish we would have gotten video of him running. Takes a nice set and has a nice rooster tail! Definitely changed my opinions on the lines of the 335. I could not stand the factory windshield.

We must have been. Sorry we missed ya! Some good lake days were had! That's funny we stopped there for an hour or so, but I think you guys must have been gone for the day, or out on a cruise, all the sand spikes and boys were still there. View attachment 1412408 View attachment 1412409
