I miss my 93 Yukon. I'd LOVE to get a 95 to 99 4wd with the Vortec 350. My 93 was one of the most reliable and probably one of the most versatile vehicles I've ever known.

Here's my old one, on air. I didn't want a bunch of air ride stiff inside so it was all underneath- which there isn't a lot of room down below on these. But still had 2 compressors and 10 gallons of air (2tanks).
Heading to Parker one trip pulling the boat and rolling too low on the 10, I blew a front bag and punctured a tank because of it. We ran the rest of the way there and back on the stops. The down side to air ride I guess.

I sold it back to Steve and he sold it to a couple in bullhead a couple weeks later.

That's right!! Presume it'll be back seeing the way Steve kept getting it back lol. I almost bought it from Steve right before you bought it but didn't want to spend the money. Came across mine a little later and couldn't turn down the deal. Still planning on installing a full sliding rag on mine. Just waiting for the dude who's gonna install it to tell me he's ready.

I actually have a buddy that says he wants to do it and won't charge and the dude is like meticulous with restoration and projects (he's torn down two or 3 original wood Chris Crafts, built a frame off restored bagged 60's C10 and a bunch of other stuff. I don't doubt his skill I'm just afraid it's going to take a while and since I actually drive my hoe I can't exactly let him keep it for too long.

Another buddy restores vintage VW's out of Ventura and does killer work. He's installed a few rags on buses and bugs and has an upholstery guy in shop too. He'll kick down a smokin deal for install. Said the headliner would be the most expensive part - having his guy figure it out and install. Think I'll do it is dark grey suede.

Thing looks nice from the pic. People actually lower the 4wd ones because the 2wds cost so much more and are more rare. But I would advise against it. I'd say a nice lift, rims and 35's or so. They look good lifted too.

Thinking of getting a K&N cold air intake for my Tahoe. Advantages? Any increase in performance. I just like the idea of not ever having to buy a new air cleaner. But I do see theres some wires and sensors and crap plugged into the stock air intake prior to the motor. Will disconnecting these throw error codes and screw with the performance? And I presume all that needs to go back on for smog?

It's just a look, like every other custom style. raised, slammed, chromed motor, chromed undercarriage, big rims, small tires, custom paint, custom stereo - crazy useless crap. I mean, it's ALL useless LOL. Just fun.

You'll buy a complete kit that plugs in. You won't notice a seat of the pants increase, but a tad better fuel economy and never buying a air filter again.

I was reading a comparison article before about air intakes. They compared 3 or 4 of the biggest names to a stock intake on a chassis dyno in a truck. Basically the best combination came down to using the factory air box with an aftermarket ducting (like K&N) and replacing the paper filter with a higher performance drop in replacement. The full kits didn't really result in much of any increase due to the filter being exposed to so much hot air from the engine bay.
