The Rotax motor is an engineering marvel, 100 hp per hole with few mods. Thats bang for buck.

After Katrina in sucked up a coke can in my jetski. Wouldnt move no matter if it was hammerred. Ate that phucin wear ring right up. :champagne:

I can get my hands on a velvet drive for a BB chevy and have an adapter plate made.

Gear reduction is no way, motor would sit way too high in boat.

Hate to say it but, usually a motor runs its best before it goes south. What makes you think its the pump? Look up into intake with a flashlight. You may have something in the pumpp.

70 mph is all Coast Guard allows out of the box. `05 RXP,,,94.3 gps,,,alot of mods. :cool: A GTX would have to be heavily modded to run above 73,,and I mean heavily modded.

I was told by Greg (owner of GS Marine) that my hull will respond badly due to chine walk with a droop. On the other end of the rock Ronnie Sporl told me to run one. I think with the added weight of a diesel the droop would be benificial. `75 Southwind.

Tom, can u cut this JC and make a JG? Recommended shoe, loader and impeller? Is this even feasable? I value your opinion. I am determined to do this, but as the times dictate, within a budget. :D What about gear dives for this? Thanks, James 504-305-5167

My tanks reconfigurred? All the pumps? This is a 7.3 out of a `94 E250 with 8ok on the motor and trani.

Ok, so it seems everyone is on the same page with pump effeciency. So, to make this project work I would need a larger pump. Anyone familiar with different pumps and cost? I am not looking for huge K50S pumps like we installed in the Navy MK-V. What about a really aggressive loader for my JC...
