I agree which is why I want as many opinions as possible. I would say the big differences in prices are more maintenance based. The prices are not that drastically different up front. The mercury package is around 164k but that includes the drive and gimbal. The Teague 1200 after speaking to...
Great response thank you. I have spoke to two highly respected people in the boat industry the past two weeks and they both told me go with the merc 1100. I really wanted to do the 1350 but they wont warranty it without using the M8 and I would like to use the 6 drive. The 6 drive only comes...
I know this boat was built in 2014, but I am in the market to have a updated version of this boat built. Only difference for the most part I am going to do a full cap, full carbon kevlar lay up, and haven't decided whether to do a Merc 1100 same as this boat or a teague 1200efi. ANY...
Thats awesome I was on the road working, but my father was out there. Anderson, SC where the meals on wheels is located is where I was born and raised my parents still live there, which is why during boating season I fly home almost every weekend I am currently on my way there now as I type...
Probably one of the most informative responses yet so I appreciate that. I agree with everything you said because it is all true but here comes my stubborness lol. I am not a out board guy I completely understand though why people are the cost and lack of maintenance alone is a huge plus. Im...
Definitely nice to be able to run 130+mph while only have the cost and maintenance of one engine and one drive. Hard to beat for a lake boat especially if you have a small family or no kids.
The vote continues lol. I am pretty busy all week on the road working, but when I get home I am going to call Tony at DCB to discuss options. DCB seems to be the popular vote, and the fact that one of the owners of DCB personally contacted me and gave me his number I think that says A LOT about...
Absolutely. Living in Atlanta you'll be much closer to Lake Lanier a number of really nice 120+ mph boats on that lake as well. But Lake Hartwell is only another hour up the road so maybe I will run into you sometime.
I don't want to comment directly on particular accidents but i will say this whether I decide to go with the DCB or the Eliminator its with a full understanding that my personal choices out on the lake will go a long way with keeping myself and anyone with me safe. This boat will be calling Lake...
Makes sense I kind of feel the same with my 28 with single engine set up getting on plane seems like more effort out of the boat then needed, and I am afraid Id feel the same if I put big power in another single engine set up. I heard Bob Teague say great things about the M31.
Thanks for the input, thats pretty much what I am looking for is support and someone willing to stand behind their product. I know they cant always fix and solve everything ESPECIALLY if its user error but just having someone who can deliver a boat completely dialed in who you can call and will...
I follow him on Instagram seems like a nice guy. His 33X Speedster is pretty amazing. As much as I love the 1400's he has I am most impressed with the full cap he had done on the boat it makes a boat look so much cleaner in my opinion. Thats a guy who knows what to spend his money on for sure.
I did ask Bob I don't personally want to post his opinions out of respect but he gave me good advice for the conditions I would be using it for. Another reason why its easy to lean toward Teague motors try calling someone from Mercury and getting the same person on the phone to have a long convo...
