Ya, some center console boats and RIBS run them. They aren't performance engines because of the gearcase and weight. The gearcase is probably limited to about 85 to 90 MPH. A single 450R would be faster on the same hull.

If you were running a 1200 Lbs outboard on a 21, it would be a tug boat. The dynamics of going fast on the water are the hull design, the gearcase and the prop, along with weight, hydrodynamics and aerodynmics. Boats aren't like cars where you just add power. You can add power and go faster...

Looks like a neat boat Matt. Key thing is make sure it's safe, double check the steering, get those motor mounts addressed, either with new ones or solid ones, that will make a world of difference. If the steering is not smooth, new cables are somewhat economical and make a world of difference...

The 22 is sold and will have a 300R HD, painted white to match. The SV 27 will be silver with a black hull, 450R, Porta bracket, it will be beautiful and available December. You can order a 25' now for March / April delivery.

The 22 has custom swim steps and ladder. Orange gel, blue hardware.

The 27 out of the mold, was off to paint a while back. Really nice upholstery work on the seats. Boat will be Polar Silver, Porta Bracket, 450R. Incredible package .
