Cant wait to see the boomerang effect.....Its going to be bigly :). One thing I am 100% sure of is the people that panic sold on the way down are going to be pissed. Woulda coulda shoulda type stuff.

Countries are now trying to settle up......lets see how fast this gets handled
idk. I tend to believe that automata that are optioned and levered tend to drive these selloffs and rallies anymore (i.e, panic sales are not dominant) . It was heartening that 'individual investors' drove the buy side last week, but today is not good news for them.

How the hell are we going to grow the work force, when everything in the baby aisle is made in China. Wait until you see the cost of a baby stroller. 😉
It will come from Vietnam, Korea, Phillipines, Mexico…
You would be reallly surpised as how much China is already depending on other countries for components in things they are trying to build.

Go to the Mexico City Airport, look at the Ratio of Chinese to Mexicans in the airport… China has been investing massive in Mexico for many many years.

think about it though. USA has been in hot wars with 2 of the 4 countries you named.

We fucked up Germany & Japan pretty damn good, yet they are some great trading partners since 1946…
Your point is ???
its more of a question...amongst uncertainty. I think you inferred your answer.

yet, the $B/$T from the Marshall plan to rebuild Europe and JP led to where we are today with dissatisfaction with the dependency it fostered. I mean isn't that the basic gripe being sold right now?

Trump tweeted that China better withdraw that 35% tariff by tomorrow or on the 9th we hit back with 50%

Who flinches first?
Trump wanted 100% tariffs on China from the beginning. Its the only way it makes scenes when adding 20-30% from other country's.

We make some of our parts made in China (clamps) as its too expensive to make in the US (it wasn't 30-40 yrs ago). But now with domestic cost rising do to supply and demand and the increase in other country's at 20-30% it made the 34% increase from China not bad..

All steel quotes in the US are only good for 5 days and prices are rising, just because they can.

Depends on the perspective.
Libtard perspective is: money is infinite, and if we take care of the world, good karma will come and its peace ever after…

Conservative approach is: money is not infinite, we are tired of defending / policing /financing the world, other countries need to do the right thing, before you piss us off any further, (inferring bad things can happen in a hurry).

So I have been an Apple nut hugger for a while. I have made a killing and have reduced my position over time and I’m still very green.

But if this tariff thing don’t go away. How is this not the end of Apple?

How the hell do you grow the workforce when you ship all your manufacturing overseas? It won’t matter what a baby stroller costs if nobody has a job.

I really don’t know the answer to this one, but I certainly am a little concerned.

The last time I sold Apple, I lost out on 58K of gains by the time I re-bought. 🙄

Do you know what the cost to manufacture an Iphone they sell for $1200 is?
That was being discussed on the business channel this morning and I think they said profit margin was about 45% on an iPhone.

And most people will pay more to get the latest phone so maybe won't take a large margin hit........

The Euro group now wants to meet up to discuss zeroing out all tariffs.....lol
50 countries want to talk, patience is where money is made. (I have absolutely no patience in projects I do but had learned long long ago to learn to have some when in the market and it works).

Would you mind sharing your info sources? Thank you.

Honestly I read from so many sources early in the morning I cant quote just a few. I do listen to both sides of the coin though. I also ran a nationwide service company of mine for 30+ years so I am pretty good at seeing things in real time from a real life experience. Calling BS for what it is.

What is happening is 100% required to right the ship for long term positive success for our country. Ot will take a lot of short term sacrifice to get over the hump

I'm interested in locating sources of factual unbiased information.

In regards to this post... The information on which countries are responding to the tariffs & what the responses are.

Is there really such a thing as unbiased factual information?🤣

FOXBusiness channel has been reporting “ White House sources saying many European countries are ready to talk.”

BA anybody? It’s at Covid levels.
Thought about it. I picked up a little AMAT this morning along with a cheap mining sector stock I mess with DNN . AMAT is one of the only ones I still have that's worth anything from the old dot com crash around 2000 . My hat is definitely off to anyone who actually makes consistent spendable income in retirement year after year on these type of stocks... 🤣 AMAT , AAPL , my old XOM with re invested divs and of all things PLTR from back a while ago are still biggest gainers for me over all time lol.

I heard it from directly from the horses mouth at the White House, US Secretary of Treasury Scott Bessent, stated 60-70 nations have contacted the US and are wanting to discuss trade Tariff negotiations. Stated EU is interested in talking about ZERO Tariff trade between the two. I trust info from the horses mouth info than News Sites and YES they are all BIAS in one way or another some worse than others. I honestly think these days GOOD LUCK finding pure clean news avenue now a days, I wish they just got back to business we can count on vs having to trolling 20 different sites or news sources and to try to figure out what is true, partially true and fake.

I hope we do not have a rumored 90 day pause on Tariffs, that just kicks the can down the road, take the pain, and when the time is right all these countries will bow down as they are slowly doing right now AND IT WILL BOOM!
I agree....lets see this thru NOW

so how did everybody do today? I rode it out just like always and lost .049% on the day.....at one point I think I was down about 2.5% or so.

YTD down 2.6%.....I have seen comments of peeps being down 30% or so. If so you are way higher risk than what I would be willing to take but.....The younger you are the better to take that risk then. Simply stated you have time. Older peeps gotta protect it all and thereby lower risk is taken.

Now is a good time to look it all over and make sure what you are invested in is at the risk level you are willing to take. Shit.....I hope all of you yell out YAHTZEE MUTHA FUCKA! lol

Patience or trade like a mofo.....lol
