Just put a 468ci 524hp motor in and the boat ran 63 on GPS. Was happy with that number especially when you consider the boat weights 4k dry. Unfortunately I'm not in town, but will be back out there next week. Would love if you wanted to stop by for a beer and snap a few photos. Absolutely everything on the boat has been redone,,,new motor (3 hrs) rebuilt velvet v-drive, rebuilt trans, new interior, new gauges, all new stainless. The Cavatation plates were just finished. By Chris Irick. Mike King just fab up the swim step brackets for the Eddie Marine steps. Brand new Bimini top etc etc. Really nice family / ski boat. Ive got another boat in the works, so need the room.

Did it ever occur to you that me offering to shoot the boat next week might be a good chance to take a look at it? (First in line)

24xs is on my short list and has been forever.

Besides this thread is something I’ve been thinking about for awhile. Are there people that try to take advantage? Sure.. is this guy one of em? Who knows.. probably.

but another question, a more important question..

If someone was a new member and this was the way they were greeted would they stick around?

This guy took it in stride and has humor.. I’d love to see him stick around. If it was a shorter game I’d just check the box and. I’ve that post to the classifieds for him.

I bought this boat from Shane @ Lake Havasu Marine and most of the restoration work was done there. Shane said he placed a straight edge on the bottom of this boat to determine whether or not it had a hook and found it to be extrememly straight. Other then the typical slight prop steer the boat handles very well.

The motor only has roughly 3 hrs on it now, but last trip out it ran 63 mph @ 52/5300 RPM. Cruising speed is anywhere from 42 to 47 mph @ 42/4500. I have the rev limiter set @5500. My motor builder ( Mike Hayden ) says i can set the limiter to 6000 rpm,,but why.
