Nordic’s first new deckboat with 450’s ran a Mfg claimed 107 mph!
That’s awesome. That’s moving out in a deck boat.

Impressive, but I think a single IO with the same HP , maybe a Merc 850 , might be faster ?
I would like to see how the 450's push a deck boat loaded up with people and coolers. See what kind of torque these 450's really have.
I dont get 107 in an open boat.

We hit the Tecopa wake at 60-70ish in the Eticket. I wish i had the video on my new phone. Really wasn’t that scary. At 107 in that windy boat with your one good eye that still can see you spot the the big lumbering wake surf boat doing 10 MPH then.... View attachment 872065

An 860hp might reach 100. You'll need 1,000hp+ to play with this Nordic.

29 Nordic is a big boat with big tunnels etc.. I don’t think a wake boat is going to trip it up much.. I have quite a few pretty funny stories about the rough water abilities of them.
That’s pretty damn fast. Fastest Interceptor?825 Teague in my 28 Interceptor and I’ve seen a top speed of 113 mph.

Good and useful info about handling big swells/wakes. I always assumed deck boats and even open bows would be easier to stuff a sponson.
There are tradeoffs to everything. The Nordic is better in big water because it has deeper tunnels and larger sponsons, but the sponsons are also "sharper" than most traditional decks, so they lose speed quickly with people in the front of them. Each one of the West Coast Decks has their pro's and cons and it really depends on what suits you as the buyer, and how you are going to use the boat.
I'd buy a Nordic any day of the week for my family. Absolutely great boats.
