"I wonder if the whole thing was just a setup. Trump lied about Zelensky not thanking us (he has done that at least 30 times). He lied about who started the war. He lied about how much aid we have given. He lied about how much aid Europe has given. I think he and Vance planned all along to scold and berate Zelensky so they would look tough and strong. Instead, they came across as thugs who should never be trusted."

"Shocking and disturbing. Not a single US President of the past would have acted in such a childish manner. The world saw our Pres. at his worst insane behavior. The trust or respect any other country had for the US I'm sure is as low as it can get. Not, only that, tRump was trying to get a mineral deal and he blew it. The art of the deal master, showed us how he has no idea how to make a good deal. This should embarrass and unnerve us all as our US Pres. acts as an agent for Putin. And Vance trying to make an impression on his boss, just ended up looking very foolish as well. This is our executive office heading for failure in every possible way."

The fact that you people think this was some sort of victory speaks volumes. You love trump, not America...
Used to think you had a modicum of intelligence.
You're a fucking imbecile...

I've seen junior teams with 5 years negotiation experience do a better job of keeping their wits than either side in that meeting.

It was no victory for Zelensky.
Nor was it a good showing for Trump or Vance.

The only guy that did a decent job in that room during that meeting was Rubio.

The suit question guy wasn't wearing a suit. What a waste of an opportunity.
If you are only going to get to ask one question - don't make a dumb one like that.

I wonder if this happens behind closed doors? They always feel like they are acting fake in conferences anyway. Maybe this time everyone was just an honest ass? I think I'd be better with that 🤣

The only thing that matters to MAGA is that we stop sending billions of dollars to him and that continent in their failed attempt to further escalate this losing endeavor.

It was progress in our eyes and we don’t give a rat’s ass what the talking heads of the globalists have to say about it UD.

Heard this morning that the UK is giving them 2 billion. WTF?

I could care less what "the globalists" think, they don't pay our bills.

Somehow despite holding all the cards he let that fuck fluster him.

Nobody is going to support trying to return crimea or donbass.
The best zelensky can do is hold where it's at if he's lucky and get the Euros to the table.

Trump should have cut him off earlier, but this was an ambush by Zelenskyy if anybody.

I'd be embarrassed to call that an ambush.
z's position was telegraphed further out than a George Foreman a punch.

there goes the first part of the 2 billion. Thanks for dragging NATO in to it.
all NATO countries are now a target according to article 5.

Russian Telegram channel TalipoV [sic] Online Z claimed that the vessel was loaded with drones and weaponry that had been collected from a NATO based in Turkey before being transported to Odesa in Ukraine.

These people want WWIII. I find it funny that those backing Ukraine on my wife's FB feed are all her college friends with no kids. I'm sitting here looking at my 16 and 18yo sons.

No one from NATO would help us if we were attacked. Everyone seems to think they will, but they'd look out for themselves...as we should. Forcing WWIII is a fool's errand, economic and ecological disaster. I don't care if someone likes or dislikes Trump. Votes were tallied, is what it is. Pushing for war and death? I guess it's just not my style. It's always the ones too old to fight, or so far removed from any semblance of physical life, that cheer for war. Doff the blue and gold sticker from your car, and don a pack and body armor.

If you want the war, be willing to fight it yourself. NATO going in is about like Ukraine shelling Donbass. Baiting Russia. If NATO goes in, it's only to bait the US into the fight.

Yeah, fucking stupid take IMO. Zelensky is a fucking worm, and it was good to let the American people see what a POS we are dealing with. Rubio said they had a deal worked out with Zelensky and his staff before the meeting, but Zelensky came into the Oval Office and tried to change the deal in front of the cameras. His disrespect for the office of POTUS and the American people that have been paying to save his ass from Putin was on full display.

Trump gave Europe no choice with his vocal support for Russia when he stated Ukraine started the war against Russia and his clear indication that the US would no longer stand behind Article 5.

Europe clearly understands where US policy is now and it is Europe is on its own.

As long as they keep their aggression away from America directly, Russia doesn’t have to worry about US military might anymore, nor does China. American leadership and a majority of the population don’t care about Americas historical role as the sole superpower willing to stand behind alliances.

Everyone is now on their own, so Europe is doing exactly what anyone in their position would do.

Rubio should have gotten it in writing and Trump shouldn't have allowed the meeting to happen until it did.
Zelenskys a worm, but he's been consistent. He wants all of his country back and it's never going to happen.

The Nuke nations turned a blind eye in 2014 when we all ignored the Budapest memorandum.

Ukraine was stupid to listen to anyone when they gave up their nukes for a "security agreement".
No tin pot dictator that ever gets their hands on one will be dumb enough to give it up going forward.

We didn't stand behind Budapest, or USMCA, article 5 is just more meaningless ink on paper.

That said I think Europe should be able to stand on their own at this stage.
The point where they subsidized their large scale businesses to attack ours (Airbus v Boeing) was the point where the whole thing needed to be up for renegotiation.

Best time ever for Xi to take Taiwan. If he's going to do it, his best shot is now.

With everyone on their own it will be interesting to see who comes to together.

Without the US Ukraine is fucked. The EU can talk a big game but at the end of the day without us the war continues. Without our weapons Russia will take more land.

Without someone's weapons the Ukraine is fucked.

We don't have an exclusive on making weapons.

The Euros do a great job at making them, and what they make is way better than what the Russian make.
If they step in and provide billions of them, Ukraine has a chance at holding a stalemate, but knowing the Euros they probably wont.

I certainly agree that the message to Xi is clear, if you want Taiwan and their leading edge technology, take it.

There is no one left who is both capable and willing to object.

The thing is, I see no problem with letting countries fight their own fights. Their land, their blood. If you shell an area of your own country, don't be surprised when they ask for help from people that don't like you. Put simply, don't pick a fight with the big kid down the street, and expect to always have help.

NATO was initially built to stop the Russian threat. The funny thing is, after the cold war, there always seemed to be another threat needing NATO intervention. For the good of mankind? Nope. Usually to take down dictators that had been put in place by NATO. It's a multi-billion dollar version of a drug lord, taking out a plaza boss for stepping out of line.

I understand some of you stand to lose a lot of money from the actions of our president. Some lost a lot with the actions of the last. It's probably like that with every administration change. I'm in a much different position. My goals are not building wealth, they are simply to feed my family, take care of my family, pay medical bills, and hopefully continue to do so for a long time. I needn't worry about import duties or export logistics. My bottom line is what is left in the accounts or in my wallet at the end of the month.

Guess what? I'm pretty much on my own. This means I need to control my emotions if I wish to continue completing my goals everyday. If leaders of countries relied less on other countries, there would be less fighting, and less interference by those considered allies. Always be prepared to stand alone.

1. Trump claimed Ukraine started the war.
2. Trump called Zelensky a dictator.
3. The USA voted with Russia and North Korea to oppose the UN resolution condemning Russia's invasion.

Sadly, I don't think Ukraine can or should be blamed for starting the war. It was our government, and some others I believe, that funded and orchestrated the overthrow of the elected leaders in Ukraine. Those backed by us started the war. In reality, we are to blame for much of this.

By we, you mean Obama, Biden, Jarrett, Rice, Nuland, and a few others.
But yes, The US

Yes, we are guilty by association I guess. "My" Presidents brought this upon us and worse. So far it's only brought debt to us, but lots of lives given by others. I don't want it to start costing American lives as well.

There have been American deaths though. "Ex" soldiers killed in battle...listed as volunteers that recently separated from the US military. There have also been some "US Citizens" killed in strikes that were not widely publicized here. There have been lots of images of foreign uniforms in the battlefields, from countries not officially fighting there.

You should change your screen name to 2DUMB.

People might think it's one of those ironic nicknames, like calling the 6'5" 400 lb guy tiny.

A brief conversation with the artic prince and you just get a sense that somethings wrong there.

I guess we’ll all see what happens next week too the finance markets.

I don’t believe Trump can pull off world peace, without dragging the US into WW3 first.

Russia is about to collapse financially. Russia can‘t win the Ukraine war, and Europe won’t let it happen.

Russia is asking the US to help them win the war. WTF is the Republican Party thinking.
