Its pretty much just an unorganized deal, show up whenever you want, do whatever you want, stay however long you want! its the 3-4th sandbar up (Cant remember which one it is) its about 3-4 miles north on the river.
large or small turnout, its alway a great time IMO in that area!

There is camping, $5 a night per person in the trees as they call it, it's dry camping, no hook-ups. I know people that sleep in the beds of their trucks or tents and have no issues. Not sure where you are coming from, here are the directions from I-8. Exit Fortuna Rd., head North approximately 2.5miles, right turn on 95, 16 miles to Martinez Lake Rd, (fyi, the turn is 2 miles past the BIG guns and I'm not talkin about Mock Aunties BOOBS) left turn, 10 miles and you will run into "The Other Place", you are at Fishers Landing.

No, he's referring to the big guns about 4 miles further up 95 at the Imperial Dam Road turn-off (where you would turn to go to Hidden Shores).

Hey guys, I just got home from there, had great time! didnt get the chance to meet anyone from here though. either they were too busy or cool for a deaf dude. LOL :rotflmao:
Yeah Tom and I got out there early before the boat launch go wild that I remember the last time I went there. I say before 9am, no one really was there other than fishers and few water skiiers. driving long way up the river the water was low saturday morning, but got pretty high later in the day almost took over the sand bar.

I had blast meeting a few people and play some games on the sandbar and watch all those guys with loose nuts racing in their boats. It gave me ideas for my next project ;)

See you guys next time!

Popo had it shut down for the better part of Saturday. I finally left around 5 so i could get a cocktail. Word is that the cop left so they started making some passes. It was a good turnout though, lots of awesome boats.

I had about 60 pictures on my camera plus some videos, my daughter accidentally deleted them, I suspect she initialized the card on accident. Since I can't kill her I will forgive her... LOL

I read that Barry. That sucks. I imagine Yuma Commerce dept Don't need any money from the boating community. Last Year was awesome. I hope others got some Pics up. I missed the PT. I was hoping MindyK would have a few posted up. Maybe later

I was thinking of the PT while I was up river. There were 5 flatties out in the AM in Parker and I just kept thinking to myself. Yuma must be off the hook ...

Barry,

How about scanning the Flier and posting? Is the rubber duck race halloween weekend too? I was thinking that our next trip would be T-giving weekend but maybe sooner.

It was great meeting many of you in person and was a great time. Next year we are going to have to get a BBQ together on friday so everyone is able to meet prior to getting on the water.

Sorry Cy, it wasn't a flyer that I received. Here is the link to the Jeepers page on the Fishers Landing website.
Jeepers

I thought a Friday show and shine would be bad ass, I would bet that Charlie Bush would let us block off some spots in the parking lot so guys could park their boats out there? Make is a three day weekend?

River Dave, this one's for you! This is what we see and why we like our little jet boats! :thumbsup
(you may have to click on the heading to view video)

Great meeting you at Pauls Saturday night, sorry we bailed on Sunday, I was feeling crappy, unfortunately not from the alcohol, if it was self inflicted we would've been on the water. :bash:

Barrymac nice to meet you guys as well. Its ok it got my hungover ass up and going early. Thought we had to be somewhere. Maybe next year. Outlaw decided maybe it was a myth that all the locals told the tourists as a joke about this cabin:rotflmao:

Haha, I wish I was freaking hungover, pretty much stopped drinking after you left, went and took nyquil, nighty night...

Well, we call the cove that the Miners Camp is in Deliverance Cove, if that tells you anything? See you there next year... LOL

That 1st video is great!! It's a shame the popo shut down any side by side action, but I guess I can understand why.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to go out to the power tour.. Would've liked to have met my wifes 1st client!

As for too cool to hang out with a deaf guy.. LOL Nonsense. they never complain about music choices, boats too loud, and a whole host of other things of that variety.
