Your thoughts on Wakeboard Boats?

So what are the pro's and con's between the Direct drive boats and the V-drives?

V-drives = will put out a larger wake than Direct Drive
Direct drive = need ballast to create a larger wake, and produce a flat wake at speed, the Best drive for Water Skiing
