The Post reported this week that the Venezuelan gang, which has a crime network across South America, is now replicating its methods in the Big Apple, recruiting new members from migrants at shelters to create phone robbery gangs, and its international connections to traffic the devices to Colombia to be sold.

And to think a certain group voted against trying to improve security at the border.

How could anyone support such people?

LOl. It is funny watching this nonsense. But honest question, no bullshit:

If we went to a single issue voting position, and put up funding the border wall as a single issue, how do you really think that vote would go?

I'll put this to you another way. Let's say the "Republicans Party" said, "Sure, we will all vote for that bill as is stands now, and all we ask for is that you include mandatory In Person Voting with approved Federal Identification at the time of voting for all future elections." You think all of your big supporters of this bill crying about those horrible people who voted it down would still be all about securing the border via this bill?

Do you mean the Border Security Bill with most of the money going to Ukraine, Israel and other places and the least amount going to the US border?

There was absolutely no border security in the bill. All they wanted was more people to process the illegals into the country faster and more ports of entry. The mission of the Border Patrol is, "Protect the American people, safeguard our borders, and enhance the nation’s economic prosperity." It is not to process people who cross illegally outside of ports of entry which is what they are now doing under the direction of this administration. This is an orchestrated invasion. All they need to do is go back to the remain in Mexico policy but the clowns in charge don't have the stones to negotiate it. Biden undid 95 border security measures put in by Trump yet they love to lie and say they inherited a broken system.

It had 1,300 new Border Patrol Officers, 1,600 new Asylum officers and 375 new Judge and Hearing Teams. It had the largest change in Asylum laws in 4 decades closing significant Executive Branch leniency and discretion in existing Asylum laws.

That seems like security to me and an attempt to address the problem. 🤷‍♂️

But people will believe what they believe and vote accordingly.

Great. So make that a single issue to vote on and see if you still sing the same song.

Funny, I read his as "1300 new border patrol agents, 1600 new people to help illegals, and 375 new "teams" of appointed judges and hearing groups to fast track citizenship.

It in no way strengthened the border. It may have been the biggest move in border security ever, but it was not a move in the right direction.

Ask a CBP agent, not a talking head or politician.

Surprising isn't it? Some anti American filth still think new legislation designed to expediate entry of illegal aliens and give them legal status the minute they cross the border is a step up from Trump’s policies which resulted in the lowest level of illegal invaders crossing the border ever.

Cockgobbling TDS syndrome...

We wouldn't need them if the Dems just kept the border shut and kept Trumps rules and regs in place.

Your statement is simply factually incorrect.

We have a problem and no one wants to address it consistent with how our laws and our constitution is written.

It is just crazy.

Simply not true. They were way too high under Trump and rising. Trump's policies even when combined with COVID did not result in an acceptable result of border security. It requires a change in Asylum laws.

No shit genius. Anything counted as illegal will drop, when you legalize a vast majority of it!

Fak!! For a reasonably intelligent individual, you're an idiot. That's the equivalent of saying "contacts with illegal border crossers are down", after cutting patrols and telling officers to not concentrate on problem areas to spare manpower.

Try reading it again.

The National Border Patrol Council — which represents more than 18,000 agents — said the bill would “drop illegal border crossings nationwide and will allow our agents to get back to detecting and apprehending those who want to cross our border illegally and evade apprehension.”

Hahahaha... Nope, he and everyone else read it just fine. The local turd politicians have done the same thing with changing penalities and definitions of laws here to then sing... "Ahh look, we have lowered crime." 🤣

The Sad Honest Truth is this Country had a Pathetic Career Politician running for President while hiding in his Basement and refusing to Debate the sitting President. Then when he did speak, told us he was going to Shut Down the "Keystone Oil Pipeline", and "OPEN" our Southern Border".🤔 When "Covid" was declared under control, "Prop 42" was "Floated" for several months, and for whatever reason, "Brandon" moved forward with the "Full Blown" cancellation of President Trump's "Prop 42" virtually Unopposed, and Here We Are.

Hard Not To Think, "When You Allow Evil People to Walk All Over You", Shit Happens and Be Adult enough to Accept a Large Portion of the Blame for a National Disaster that will be in the "Headlines" for Generations.

No need for a border bill, all Biden has to do is reinstate Trump EO, that he cancelled. Done !!
You mean the one about Covid?

The disease you guys say doesn’t really exist?

You want an executive order using a fake pandemic to close the border. That’s a better solution than the toughest border and immigration reform in 4 decades?

Please tell me MAGA has a better plan that will pass in the legislature to secure the border than let’s reinstate Covid restrictions?

Noooo the one where you apply for asylum but must wait in your host country until the hearing. No crossing until then.

Worked like a charm. This was first Trump EO Biden cancelled.

Another great example of how our Local turds operate. Please name those in here who have stated "Covid doesn't really exist" Great example of cherry picking words, getting rid of some of them, and changing the context to try and prove a political point. You are better than that, or at least I thought you were.

"toughest border and immigration reform in 4 decades"

This was in a mere few hours...In a few days we'll all be thanking "Biden, our Lord and Savior" for his great works.

I may be, but at least I am not part of the group refusing to address the border issue with tough improved asylum and border laws.

Amazing how anyone in America can support such equivocation to the border issue and equivocation to Joe Biden's policies as is being done currently by the MAGA group in the House. They had an opportunity to do something to address the issue, and flat out refused to even consider reading it let alone having a hearing or vote on it.

Who are "those people"? Your statement is inconsistent with what the Border Patrol Chief said in this interview. Can you post up that interview where he says who are all "facilitators" and how it applies to the provisions in this bill increasing the number of BP Agents and the changes to the laws relating to deportation and asylum making it easier to both deport and deny false asylum claims?

You guys keep forwarding these MAGA talking points that the bill does "absolutely nothing" yet the people on the ground state that it will help?

NBPC says the Border Act of 2024 will give Border Patrol agents an authority that they never had in the past, including removing "single adults expeditiously and without a lengthy judicial review, which historically has required the release of these individuals into the interior of the U.S."

Then why did they need to add more asylum officers than BP officers?

We should shitcan 1/2 the asylum personnel we already have and divert that budget to Border Patrol and the wall. There...I just solved a problem without spending any more money.

Two reasons.

To clear out the four year backlog of asylum cases that must be adjudicated so that we can determine by law if the applicants remains or is returned.

And, to adjudicate future asylum applications within months as opposed to years.

The problem is not only what is coming over the border, but the millions already here that are now entitled to their case being adjudicated.
