Funny you mention this, Brother, yesterday at about 1 or so I told my wife me and the daughter are taking a ride. Destination unknown.

Packed her in to the Bronco with some snacks and we took a drive over to the Salt River. I walked to the river and me and her just sat and watched the tubers go by. She collected some rocks and played with water bottles we had brought. She just turned 3 also.

She looks at me and says "Dad, I fun!". Biggest Smile on her face.

I just about lost it right there and I am cutting onions as I type this. Gonna go give her a big hug!

Thanks for the uplift!
Awesome!! I may have teared up a bit too, great times.

This right here is what maters most. Being present in the moments you are with your kiddos, loved ones, family and friends.

I am going to start having a little more fun staring tomorrow 🤪

Honestly though, gonna try and soak in the next 2-5 years as much as I can. My kiddos are now 15 & 12 (crazy how fast that went by) I have always been present and there for them with a lot of fun along the way, but who can't use a little more fun.

I also look back and think how much more I could have accomplished financially if I just focused on being a shark.... but there is no fun in that. I can see myself catching a second wind of business focus and working my ass off for another 5-8 years or so while the kids are in college. I can see myself quickly being bored with a lot of spare time on my hands at that point, so I might as well work harder then.

10 years ago they were in the backseat here. 10 years went by pretty quick.

💯 I used to dream of living the life we live. Now that I’m here. I’m not impressed.
Life is what you make of it , I have "fun" cooking for example doesnt take much to entertain me and I love my work its actually fun . Like I said earlier everyday is a gift , never waste one the older we get the more we reflect .... I say "Carpe Deum" every morning (Embrace the day)

If you hadn’t taken it you would have wondered and been pissed the rest of your life.
You gained more than you lost, you just don’t know it yet….

Its hot as fuck here Sir! 😂

It did , but I think im going thru a midlife crisis and still trying to get accustomed to being a Dad first. I lived so many years being selfish and not gonna lie, I miss alot of that life!
Always liked your posts and engagement on here bro. Hoping things turn for you quickly and maybe it is a simple as the test levels for you. I dot have socials expect this but I know it can be super toxic, people are not posting real life stuff just what they want their life's to seem like.

Yes being a husband and father is what can give life meaning but it's not always what can you felling super happy. What are you doing for a hobby right now? My wife and are pretty good about letting each other compress away from the family grind when needed.

Thanks Man. I appreciate you also.

Hobbies are not like they used to be. The little one takes up alot of time. I want to hit the local PHX lakes here soon once the heat dies down. I think thats a much needed trip!

I know its the Test because I am at 140 or so natural which is crazy low.

You hit it on the head is that its not always happy times being the 100 percent everything provider for everyone, but in retrospect its fullfilling.

Just need some of the estrogen out of me and man up!!! 😂

For sure. Getting them levels normal should help a ton.

And definitely find something you can look forward to and decompress a bit. I golf a decent amount but I'll go super early back around the time the family is getting ready for the day so I don't miss much.

As a father and husband, we always fall into third or fourth place. You can plan but something will come along to rearrange your priorities. It's just what is is being a father. It's a great joy later in life when your kids call you pops, or take you to lunch. Buck up and be a dad, be a dad, be a dad.

We're enjoying what seems like endless amounts of fun. Dictating what we want our schedule to be, and how we're going to spend time each day. I'm not even sure how we're doing it, borderline guilty. Not only as a family but outside of the family, too. Regular guy trips and my wife gets to travel with her friends. Most of our friends cross over since they are couples, so it's an incredible group that all have flexibility and time that we share great fun with. Numerous 3 or 4-day lake weekends with family and friends. Same deal with winter ski trips. In addition, we do multiple weeklong+ adventures each year. I bet I've been averaging more than 3 months of vacation/trips a year for the past few years.

My problem is I need to really focus on being in the moment. I'm always looking forward to what's next, not necessarily what is now. Planning the next adventure while on an adventure. And it's getting to me, catching up with me. I'm actually missing out?

My other problem, which actually drives me / allows me to go have so much fun and screw off, is the lack of interest I have in our main business. I dont care much for my business partner, and I'm not really wild about our company any longer. I'm the founder, he came in a decade after I started and runs the show now. And its a lot different now. I just lost interest in grinding and there's a hole there now. I'm severely lacking professional career satisfaction, and purpose. I probably put in just a few hours of "work" a week, tops. There was a time I grinded, it was needed to get here. But that shits also for the birds now.

Ya need to live life with a balance. My shits not very balanced at the moment. It's all outta whack. I'm working on the next thing, an acquisition, hopefully, it comes through which should give me that career fix for a few years until that business is ready to hand off, similarly to what I have done in the past.

Living in the present is hard. Damn. Trying to be mentally in the moment, relax and enjoy is serious shit. We have one 12-year-old daughter and that quality time flies by. I need to get to figuring out how to seize that. I dunno how yet. Working on that I think might be similar to working on anxiety and or depression. Or any mental challenge for that matter. Working on putting the phone away, not being distracted. Not being susceptible.

It's not always what it's cracked up to be, at least not without things aligned. Thats what I'm realizing.

We brought our daughter along to everything. She was born in April and the boat goes in the water in May. We were on regular boat trips that June. Didn’t let it change much. Maybe less “party” but on the move just as much.

Dont wait for life to be easy to be happy!

I confess i am human but i have found to turn the things I can not control over to god and he comforts me. The things i find easy to control i manage but sometimes I make a mess of those things too and turn them over to him and he blesses me too.

My wife just lost her Mom who was her best friend. That has been really hard to manage for myself and i am leaning really heavy on the lord right now. However we have made the decision to homeschool this year and that has been one of the best decisions ive ever made. For us it was as simple as seeing our oldest is 9 halfway to being able to leave on her own and these first 9 years have flown by.

Today when i came home from work and started my yard work i came around the corner to my girls fixing the chain on a peddle tractor toy we acquired this weekend. Made me realize they may not be interested in helping me work on things but they are definitely watching me work. (Hopefully they dont cuss like daddy!) 😂

My first John Deere was a '74 model like that. (I was 4) Good to see they haven't changed much.
Second one was a '48/'49 A model

Since I changed my mindset I see the world as a full glass now instead of 1/2 full and lovin every second of it! Giving back more and saving some, keepin my ole pea brain sane in doing this.

I have a good amount of fun while it lasts
My daughter and son both play in college. Softball and baseball. We travel to their 3 games in the fall and every single weekend in the spring when they're in full force
I know it won't last so the wife and I are doing it now. My son has the pro option but we will see

For the first time in years I have a solid team working for me that has now allowed me to have more fun. First year that I’ve been able to chase my son around and watch him play football.

Got to see him play at allegiant stadium last weekend. Even though it was a loss he get a ton of play time in front of NFL scouts.

It very well could be a 74'. I inherited from my grand father. It needs some TLC. I plan to sandblast it and repaint it

No fun being had, and I honestly think I need to seek professional help on it :(

I'm just so grumpy nowadays. Stressed, Anxious. I feel like the old man that's never happy. My family senses it. My wife has been accommodating but she is tired of it. I can never enjoy the little moments. When I was drinking, I always had a blast. Being sober has really shown me that I drank to be "happy". Do I miss it, fuck yes. I miss cigarettes too. (Smoke Free for 8 Years)

I got back on TRT thinking that may help but no dice yet. Its been a month.

Anyways, you asked, and thanks as I am off to the lab to get more blood draws and get a handle on this shit😂
TRT will take about 3 months to dial in, you on pellet or injection? I do injections and they keep me around 850 on my low side. Blood test every 3 months and take estrogen blocker weekly. If on injections maybe split dose so your level run flatter rather then larger ups and downs.

Best thing to do is live life with intention, what ever that is for you.

I had a friend that used to work on hay bailers. He said there are two types of people, those that try to “make” the hay bailer work longer and harder than designed thus breaking it and having to try to repair in a hostile environment and those that work with the hay bailer knowing its limitations and giving it maintenance preventing the break down.
Work with the life you have not against it trying to make ”it“ deliver the undeliverable.

Under promise, over preform……..

Injection, 50 units, Bi Weekly. I have yet to test on my new level. 850 would feel amazing I bet.

Just started TRT injections last week and have been on gel (4 pumps daily) for a year and didn’t do crap. Was 268 when I tested last week and anything under 400 gets approved.

I go once a week (not sure on the units) and also take an estrogen blocker and include HCG so my body can make its own T.

I’m with you and hoping to feel better soon.

It does feel great. That's my low on day 7 before next injection. They always test for your lows and estimate your peak. My highs are right around 1000-1100. When dose was getting adjusted I was over 1200. That was intense!! I would go to gym at 9pm just to burn extra energy off. Was bummed when they brought me back down. Energy, attitude, sleeping, sex. It will all come around as your levels adjust to where they should be. Give it time and make sure your exercising, eating well. It's not a cure all but a great tool to help you get to where you wanna be. I have been on it for 10 months. My wife is getting ready to start on the pellet. We are both 43 for reference. All research shows amazing results in perimenapaus for women. Testosterone makes estrogen. Estrogen makes happy wife😁

Nobody likes to talk about the losses so I’m leaving early before that happens. Up $100 on black jack and hit a slot for another $120. Chicken wings were $25.00 with tip and we out the door with $195.00 more than we walked in with and a full belly😂

These joints are rigged, you gotta just walk away from them if they spit out any money. Total psychological warfare is what you’re up against when you walk in, the pumped in music with the certain BPM, the lights, the sounds, the little triggers to stimulate you to press the button again, it’s all a gaff.

But god damn are those chicken wings good when you don’t have to pay for them and even better when they don’t cost $500😂

You gotta take your kid everywhere with you. It's definteily not easy but it also trains them to be easier around you imo. Why you see me posting my kid at the shop or going to the lake. I've done multiple lake trips with my oldest. Mom gets a break cause he's a nutcase.

Two weeks ago we went to Parker and got into a small argument. He wanted us to take the Mach 22 out (it's his) instead of the Mach 26 (His younger brothers boat.) Dude doesn't like the 26 and started a tantrum. So we took the 22 out... Talk about first world problems.

Last week I brought the boat back to the shop and I started washing the boat. After I washed it he went to go grab the microfiber and Nautishine and helped me wipe it down. I didn't ask him to do it at all. What a trip.

Take your kids everywhere. They're really been making my life more enjoyable.

Dont mind the huskey strap. It's been addressed.

We take the kids everywhere and on all kinds of trips and make a ton of memories for the entire family. I take them along on solo adventures as well and so does my wife, but we also make time for date nights or the occasional overnight trip without them, we are lucky to have some family support that enjoy having the kids for a sleepover. It really helps keeping our marriage strong and healthy. It will be 9 strong years this month on he 25th. Like with anything in life a good healthy balance works wonders.

I guess it depends on how you define “fun”.
If you limit your definition to things that require you going 90mph with your hair on fire then you’re probably going to find it harder to find fun as you get older.
If however you find fun in accomplishing things, time spent with family and friends and the rewards of children well raised and doing good, then everyday can be a fun day.

I've got lots a daily problems ....HAVING FUN IS NOT ONE OF THEM !

We have Amazing kids that are good citizens that are raising even more amazing Grandkids ( 3 )

The past couple years my wife and I and our inner circle have been all about new experiences. That said we finished a new build in Viewpoint Havasu in the spring and ave been focusing on that. Currently on the upcoming season grind but that just means I get to get back in the seat for what looks to be a busy Glamis season.

I do my best to recognize how blessed I am.

TRT - Turkish Radio and Television? 😁

Truthfully all the issues your feeling and dealing with is what I'm battling. Add in Vertigo (which has eased a bit here of late) and your TRT comment has me thinking just maybe I need a different path.

My biggest issue is finding Joy or Happiness. My wife and adult kids see it. Strange because I don't feel depressed, just work away, fix shit, and purchase things needed for my own projects that I don't seem to get to. I was also the family wrench for whatever and now I don't want to crawl under a car for nothing.

I really need to leave the Boat partnership. After 14 1/2 years I am done fixing and maintenancing that thing.

The thoughts are endless it seems.

I had to get all the way down to 132 before my doctor would do shit about it. Do bi-weekly injections and the most I can maintain is low 400s. Feel a lot better than I used to, not tired in the middle of the day now but still don't feel I'm where I need to be. Would like to be in the mid-high five or low six hundreds. 850 I would feel invincible😯 I'm too young to feel this old LOL

Does the estrogen blocker and HCG give you any improved benefit?

Yup, I'm on the fence with my Testosterone therapy and waiting for my lab results from yesterday being a month and half in. I have noticed I feel a bit more anxious and my heart likes to pound a bit after a shot. Which isn't a bad thing if its getting my metabolism up, but my last go with TRT my Hemoglobin got too high and I had to stop, which is a common side affect. Thick blood is not good.

I would like to add something I heard last night in a video which hit home. "If you live in the past, you are regretful. If you live in the future, you are anxious. If you live in the present you are at PEACE.

I am trying to work on MINDFULNESS and GRATITUDE. So hard for me to reel those in.

Insurance is a joke.... I had to appeal mine for the gel and ended up getting it cheaper through "single care" at the pharmacy, like 1/2 the price when insurance approved the appeal. My lowest was 185 that was on 2 pumps, then it went to 400 on 3, went to 4 pumps and back down to low 300's.

I now go to Ageless men's health. To be on TRT you are approved under 400 for self pay and 230 for insurance, but you need 2 blood test weeks apart to confirm the level for insurance.

I go weekly and it's around 50 bucks for T only. I'll start the HCG at my 1st month level draw. HCG makes your body make it own T as your body stops it when on TRT therapy. It also stop your nuts from shrinking as it can happen to some being on T.

The estrogen blocker helps to lower estrogen as it naturally increases when T is rising in the body, they go hand in hand. Not good when men's nips start to get super sensitive. HA HA HA....

Not sure yet. The last few weeks I’ve been off it seems, could be work as we are busy with multi projects in different states and short guys. And customers are wanting their projects started asap when they issue POs.
So it’s pretty stressful.

My next blood draw is January but going to push it early to make sure I’m not dropping to low after pulling me back from 1250.

But I still feel better than I did so I know I’m not super low (again). For whatever reason they took me off the estrogen blocker and told me to take 50mg of zinc daily as it’s a natural blocker, but I forgot most days. Perhaps that’s making more sensitive. Ha ha ha.

But I haven felt any different taking HCG. Just the berries haven’t shrunk to peas. So it must be working. lol.

Keep me in the loop on how you're doing I still haven't talked to my doctor yet but it's something I might want to try as well.

Just hit up a male clinic and do the blood test and get results in 24hrs. I’m $80 week with TRT, HCG, vitamin D shots.

The blood test is like $150.

Skip the DR office.

What gets me is that people work their asses off so they can retire "good". But typically the ohl body is breaking down pretty good by then and you cant enjoy doing all the stuff you spent your life saying your going to do. The wife and I did the exact opposite of that.

That crosses my mind more times than not these days. Even though I’m 45.

I hope to be as active as my father who is 75 when I get there.

That's where all starts........and stops, in our heads. Good on you to recognize that and take advantage of it.
