Nearly all “journalism” is yellow now. Why is the term not mainstream or at least thrown out there way more than it has been? What is put out as news today is literally the definition of “yellow”.

I am so looking forward to the end of all these pompous azzholes and their fake enlightenment and outrage. This shit is getting ridiculous.

Rant ovah! 🍺🍺

News is a business not a service. Clicks make money, bottom line drives the narrative. I think people enjoy the drama of it all, they're conditioned by media to react. Very few people see it for what it is.
News is an entertainment business. The old guard newscasters have all died. Now it’s sensationalist BS and their sources are social media.

It was all yellow in the 1800s to early 1900s. Most towns had multiple newspapers based on political persuasion. That's why you still see a few papers such as the Mountain Democrat in Placerville. Many towns and cities also had ethnic-based newspapers also. Lots of German. Polish, and Yiddish newspapers in Wisconson, Minnesota and Ohio. Blacks had their own newspapers in Chicago and St. Louis. All were geared towards the political and cultural opinions of their readers. So those German and Polish newspapers were VERY against the Temperance Movement (Prohibition).

My point is, this is nothing new.

Only thing new is now they are monitored and fact checked immediately, backed up with video and audio.
