X-Games - anybody going?

I'm thinking about taking my 7 and 12 year old girls to see some of the x-games events. Anyone ever been? Looks like it could be fun.

Plan on a very long day, long delays in between riders/runs, long lines and heavy fee's for parking and tickets.

My personal opinion is watch it on the big screen at home...just as good.

I usually had to the x-games each year. Lots of fun. If you kids are in to skateboarding, head to the staples center. If they are into moto-x and rally cars, go to the home depot center. Or go for a weekend and go see both :thumbsup

I was at Staples Center the year Travis Pastrana landed the first ever double backflip. Way crazier seeing it in person. I was about 10 rows back from the jump and the place went nuts as soon as he landed it. Something I will remember the rest of my life so I would definitely recommend taking your kids. If you want to limit the amount of walking go to one of the events at the Staples Center. Its just like going to any sporting event there.

I was at Staples Center the year Travis Pastrana landed the first ever double backflip. Way crazier seeing it in person. I was about 10 rows back from the jump and the place went nuts as soon as he landed it. Something I will remember the rest of my life so I would definitely recommend taking your kids. Not sure what the exact application is of these but I'm guessing it's something for 3D motion graphics of a real video image...

The GoPro's are mounted on a 12 foot bar, electronically connected to each other and set on a different parallax angles across the bar... I'm going to go check out the whole operation tomorrow...

So the gopro rig on the bar is in fact a 3D rig that allows one to stop the video & rotate the subject about 180 degrees either direction. It's been done before but the cool thing about this rig is that it can be done live. All those cameras are synchronized and converge on a single focal point.

The lenses are custom too, not the consumer ones everyone else has.

Gopro has a $99 2 camera 3D waterproof housing rig with synchro as well. Available now.

Great marketing with the foam fingers...my daughter had an extra that she gave to a little boy in front of us during the moto best trick, and man he just lit up and was so excited. I've seen a ton of marketing stuff, but you guys are doing something right with your approach. :thumbsup
