I tagged the bottom with the prop when I was backing off the beach at Pirates last month. The prop has a couple small dings, but this is my first boat so I'm not sure if they will cause a vibration at speed or not. We have friends coming out Fri night for the weekend, so I don't want to risk ruining the trip for everyone if I can't run on plane. Boat is a 22 ft pontoon with a merc 75. I'll be out Thurs night, so where could I get a prop in Parker on friday? Can go to Havasu if necessary.

If all else fails, I suspect West Marine in Havasu would stock a cheap prop that could work?

Gibbs Propeller on Havasu (928) 453-8000
All he does are props. He could fix yours or possibly have a used one or new one. He came through big time for me on Memorial Day weekend.

Hill Marine is here in Santa Ana and they have a house near me in Needles. You might try giving them a call maybe he will be out this weekend and can bring it to you.

Thank you for all the info everyone, here are a couple pictures of the damage. I wouldn't mind having a spare on board, but should I worry about it for this trip? uploadfromtaptalk1403750582004.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1403750588917.jpg

That's not bad. It is nice to have a spare though.

I wouldn't even bother changing that for a 75hp pontoon..

That is not damage. Lol. Get an extra and have that one sharpened up. I've used Gibbs in havasu and he's good. Bronson hill in so cal is the shit though. When I had my prop tuned they had some monster bad ass cleavers in there.

That prop is fine just run it. If you decide to buy a new one make sure to check the pitch as the numbers on the prop do not reflect the true one. That prop had to be worked twice to get it right where the RPMs should be.

The prop isn't the right solution, you are just too jacked up to know better. You really need to learn about props and the way they work. Sober up and learn how props really work by and expert.
