Anyone have an old outboard lower unit from a mercury 2.0, 2.4 or 2.5 liter laying around that has a decent 20" drive shaft in it?

Checking to see if od's is the same as my sportmaster, as guess cle's had two different types, one will work one won't, the older cle with single row bearing won't work, the newer cle has dual row bearings and should be the same as a sportmaster, or so they say

There's a single bearing and dual bearing. The later style has dual bearings, one to take load under acceleration, when the pinion is pushing up on the bearing, and one to take load during decel, when the shaft pushes back down. You can run a dual bearing in an earlier case, with a spacer Merc makes. If you need the dual bearing style, only a dual bearing DS will work.

If you haven't found one, did you try Kevin @ R&R?
