Looking for a mercury 200 or 225 to replace my broken one 75

I can't find a fuckin motor anywhere. None of the outboard shops in LHC. Help!! Ebay has some from Florida. This guy says he'll split these up, 3300.00. 120psi on all cylinders but I'm Leary buying a motor from across the country. 400.00 to ship and it has to be shipped to a shop only. Al, I'm sure would let me have it shipped to his place since I'll get it rigged there but? What do you guys think. It has a 25" shaft and my broken motor was a 20" but mounted on a bracket raising it 3" and setback 4".

Just throwing it out there I picked up a 1986 22' Vaughn with a Mercury 300 (3.4 Cosworth) 25" on a fixed jacking plate Bought the boat with intensions of doing another Mercruiser 454 efi / Bravo 1 conversion Anyway I was going to have "WarCanoe" check it out so I could sell the motor with confidence that it's not junk If interested let me know

That's probably too much HP and too big for my transom.

Buddy of mine has a carbed Merc 150 probably 1994 with a spare blown up block for $ 1,500.00

Pick up in OC runs good.

I looked through the whole west coast a couple months ago. I had just missed one at boat masters. None with Kevin in Vegas. Joe at Hotlaps had just sold one. Amber Marine had just sold one. I had no luck. All the ones I found were far away. My broken one is at Gibbs, it needs a sleeve and piston. Not sure when he will repair it. Good luck in your search.

Look what I got!! Yeeha Purchased an hour ago. I'm taking the EFI. The carbed 2.5, $2750.00, is also a smokin deal and it's not sold.

I know it's a long ride but I have a 93' 2.5L carbed motor. Runs great. Oil injection removed(mix your own), 260 20" mid 5 holes each side for open exhaust, solid mounts, stock lower with Bob's Bigfoot nosecone with LWP. $2200 PM me if your interested. Tom
