Just because you find a good deal or a ā€œcheapā€ car doesnā€™t mean it canā€™t be a great automobile for you. You want a clean commuter and obviously used nothing is going to be perfect or exactly what youā€™re looking for IMO. Decent miles Honda, Toyota, Mazda take a chance! Also Mazdas from dealer ship new and used are not a bad way to go depending what your looking at Mazda 3 or 6, cx30 or cx50 are all very reasonable. My wife of course opted for the cx90 slightly used but itā€™s everything she wanted for something I was willing to deal with on price.

Iā€™m picky and not in a hurry, if any old over priced pile would do I would have bought something long ago.

Iā€™m really trying to find a clean 4Runner or Tacoma maybe a CX5

Iā€™d focus on the CX5 for that amount. I did the Tacoma search for my daughter and there was nothing there in that range.

Or go back to the 99ā€“2006 Tundra which is the same size at current Tacomas. But I wouldnā€™t call the Toyotas you referenced as commuters.

I may go up to 10-12k if I find the right one.

Most everything is a commuter compared to a 7.3 gas super duty. Daughter will be driving it 95% of the time to school.

I have missed out on a couple nice Mazdas as I didnā€™t have time to drop what I was doing and go look at them.

Again not worried about it.

You need something when she turns 15 1/2.....learners permit time! You only have 2 1/2 months!
Well her real dad shouldnā€™t have effed up her name change and ssn. Makes it kind of hard to get her a permit. Probably gonna eff up my taxes this year.

See there are other things I deal with. That makes finding a car the least of my priorities.

I guess the search goes on for another year šŸ˜‚
My extremely clean fusion with audiophile sound system just hit 100k trouble free miles. I may reduce the price and offer it up, but this ain't no charity event....

Looks like I got something lined up finally!

Seller needs to handle a minor title issue. He is selling it for his parents and signed the tittle and thought he could just give me that lol.

So hopefully in 2weeks šŸ¤£
