Good morning-Trying out this "WTB" idea.

I've been searching the world wide web for a 25-28 deck boat, preferably a conquest (topcat 1). We have found one that we are looking to peruse next week but wanted to check and see if there are any hidden treasures out there that I either missed or don't know about etc. Additionally, the Eliminator Fundecks, Halletts, Offshores, Domn8ers etc. or desirable. I just seen the newly listed Ultra Shadow 23 (White white ray/Blue flames) whihc is an EXTREMELY nice boat but the no walk through is a deal breaker as we have young kids and I don't need them sliding across the upholstery to get to the swimdeck/step . Ready to pull trigger prior to Memorial Day for right boat.

Criteria:

• Under 89k
• Walk through to a rear Swimstep must
• Rear Swimstep/deck must
• Offshore controls must
• 525 preferred / 496 minimum (must)
• Prefer one helm IE Topcat 1 opposed to Topcat II (not a deal breaker though)
• Long (+11') or dual Bimini's preferred (not a deal breaker though as these can easily be modified / added)
• Blues, Silvers and grays (no Reds) preferred

Don't count out a Laveycraft 28 Party Prowler. My boss picked one up from Horizon last summer for just over 2/3 or your budget with a 525. I am super impressed with the boat. There is so much storage on it that a guy could live on the boat!

RE the Fundeck at Horizon...

What would it run to put offshore controls on it (can you even)? I also don't like the ladder on top of the swimdeck, looks to be an after thought. That can be fixed with and under mount ladder and gatordeck.

I installed off-shore controls on my last boat. The controls themselves were under a grand, and I did the installation myself. It was quite easy. Its probably the best money I've ever spent on a toy, save for maybe safety items like a roll cage or harnesses on the SXS. The independent controls make it so much easier to maneuver your vessel when you're trailering or docking.

Idk seemed to me to be a well put together well educated post. You see half these wtb’s with no info at all, as well to list everything and settle on most is better as well. And with an exact dollar range like he posted seems he’s not looking to kick the tires on his way in or out.

the Lavey is a great boat, just doesn’t grab my eye though, not sure if it has to do with the drive area/Bimini being located so far to the aft kinda like the carerras.
