hey guys im looking for an offshore style performance boat. year/make doesnt really matter to me as long as the engine or engines are in good shape and interior isnt trashed.i love the 27 hallett if i can find an older one but im thinking thats out of my price range. unfortunately im not rich im looking to only spend 15-20k(cash) looking for i/o setup(single engine is fine) would like to see 70+mph with offshore controls and drop down bolsters. closed bow. thanks for the help guys/gals!

You would probably be better suited to post this in the lounge.. Do you want me to move it for you?

With Christmas and holidays responses will probably be low.. But I think there is something out there in your budget. A used superboat might work, although they are narrow beam.

yah i hear you. thats how it seems to be. i just figured its winter time ppl are selling now. superboats are awesome looking the problem just like u said is they are narrow beam. and my body doesnt have a narrow beam if you know what i mean. i found an awesome deal on an older pantera. but same problem i dont think i will be comfortable. but maybe for someone else on here

The white/yellow Donzi that dtb posted looks good too.
I'd also consider an old 27 Magnum if you can find one.
Iconic lines on these boats.
And they are all originally 188th st boats. You can't get more classic offshore.
Don't rule out a 28 Cig.
Good luck, and I'll keep my eyes open.

A 24 Pantera (or any 24/7) has a low freeboard , so stand up/dropouts may be a little nervous in the ocean.
28 Cig is also low freeboard.
If you're 6'+, you'll stick out like a boner in sweat-pants at a varsity girls volleyball game.

How about a Bernico with a 225 on it. Well over 70 just put a back seat in it and have one of the best big water boats. I think the over all length they say is 24'. Pm me if you would like some info.

Hi there if you are still looking I may have the boat you want. I have a 1989 Hallett 270t with twin 350's an bravo 1 drives the boat is in great shape the interior needs to be replaced soon but it could probably stand another season or two .

THE FELLOW BOUGHT A BOAT A FEW MONTHS AGO ACCORDING TO ONE OF HIS COMMENTS ON ANOTHER THREAD. BEST OF LUCK SELLING THE HALLETT THOUGH. GREAT LOOKING BOAT THAT HAS A TIMELESS DESIGN. BRAVOS AND SBC FOR AN ECONOMICAL OWNERSHIP TO TOP IT OFF.
