I thought it was somewhere in South Dakota. 17 miles of shaking everything apart in my motorhome.

That part of the drive back from Powell is what I imagine the surface of mars looking like. Those red rolling hills and not a tree in sight. and yes- the road is terrible.

My buddy told me as we were rolling through there "I did 3 tours in Iraq...it looked just like this."

I found it! Always thought I40 thru AZ, but 89 in AZ south from 160 has it beat by a long shot!! If you drive to Powell thru Flagstaff, you know what I mean. Crazy
Pretty sure front end of my truck comes off the ground a couple times N of Cameron every trip. Store the boat in Page just to not pull it over that road all summer.

What's up with roads in AZ. 15 years ago I didn't have any complaints, now when I have to drive down from Vegas it's as if I have to plan to get the truck re aligned again. I see memes about how bad roads are back east but roads in Mexico are better than most in AZ these days - the ones I travel I mean.

I-15 from Las Vegas to Victorville starting at the California line of course will take second place. At some point as a complete death trap if you’re Towing. Even the semi is go over to the number one and number two lane it’s so bad.

There was one section of “repair” that I swear the asphalt was in swirls. Who teaches them this crap

Last week I rolled out to Cali. The stretch of I40 from Andy Devine to the Vegas cutoff on the westbound side is something special. The car trailer was swapping lanes and trying to pass me!

The Navajo rapids, between Cameron and Gap are pretty bad. They are repaving sections and you can see the wavy whoopty doos still there from the opposite side as they are repaving. I didn’t see a blade or anything modern on the site. I swear they were dumping the new asphalt out of a end dump and spreading it with a loader…

Was just talking to my brother the other day about this. I’d say the worst roads I’ve been on this year are I5 especially from 75 miles South of Stockton to 75 mile North of Sac, 166 from Maricopa to Old River Road. Went to Havasu City last week and had my 270/trailer come off the pavement on I40 between the bridge and the 95…literally popped the trailer plug out and lost all electrical…noticed it getting off the freeway…wtf? no trailer brakes. Insane how bad our roads are getting and gooberment doesn’t give a rats ass.

Why would the government care? The roads dont effect their jets or runways. lol!

That 40 section was just all redone, it's built on pure silt or clay or something shitty, when it rains it swells, and then the water leaches out and it all collapses. I'm not sure what they could do to make that road last apart from building it on thousands of core drilled pilings.

I went through AZ on the 40 last week and most of it has been repaired since last year. It’s not Texas smooth but it’s much better than last year.
East bound is much better than it used to be but West bound could still use work.

The worst I've been on in the last 7k miles in my MH is AZ93 between Kingman and While Hills...both directions.

I effing hate that road. I have to drive like 40-45 in some parts because of that damn rolling road when towing to and from Powell.

I have been cought in that section with a down pour, ram 2500 with wipers on the highest setting and I almost could not go forward due to zero visibility…

More scary was watching people in smaller sedans stop. You have to keep moving or get far, far off the road.

Who knows what can be done there…its pretty bad. I was only going 60mph and it still lifted the trailer off the ground…scared the shit outa me.

Just pulled the 37 across this section on Sunday, and I must agree its really bad. The amount of bounce you get out of the trailer is gnarly when you hit the whoops north of Cameron. The section between Havasu and Flag on the 40 is better than its been in a long time but its still rough as hell too.

Much of that section of 89 is third world. I shudder every time I drive my 5th wheel over it to get to the 160 to Colorado to visit my son.

Worst section of road between Denver and Glamis.
Every year I'm worried it's going to rip my 34' tag toy hauler off my truck or snap the tongue. It's a wild ride through there.

Try any county road north of Dallas. AZ 89 will be like driving on a cloud.
