I was waiting for someone…anyone!…. to show up in a cameo and save the whole thing.

Pretty sure Tiny Tim and his tulips could’ve pulled it off….

I liked it. It may not be your genre but that doesn’t mean it was bad. At least everyone kept their clothes on. There was some serious talent out there tonight. Not my type of music either but don’t bag on it just because you don’t like rap. I respect them, Lamar can rap faster than I can even think….

You guys realize that you say every year is the worst?! 😂
So Jay-Z can’t get his shit together and is on the downward slide?

The NFL signing a contract with him was a huge mistake…

Oh so you know about the feud eh?

It's gonna get Real ugly now. Heard he was gonna sue the NFL too, if he played that song...

He said it in the show, I wanna play the one everyone wants. But we know they like to sue. Let me think about it. Played a sound bite went to a few different songs and then brought it in. It's why I watched. To see if he would. Some of the lines if you catch them are great.

You and millions of others, did just that too.

It's like the east coast vs. west Coast deal all over again. I hope it doesn't end the same way. 😔

My daughter (almost 16) was sitting next to me bobbing her head, singing along, I’m staring at her in amazement that she can memorize every word to the song but cannot remember to turn the fkn light off in her bathroom.

I finally said “wtf is this boogity shit, and who is this boogity singing”….. I get the “bruh” stare and she tells me who it is and I recognize the name, and she tells me “it’s the guy who sing bitch be humble that we listen to on the boat.” Ahhh got it. 30 seconds later he’s singing that and she and I are singing along in the living room together. Wife walks in the room and says “wtf are you two doing!?” 🤣🤣

I didn’t HATE it, but I sure wish Toby Keith was still around to show these kids how to put on a show!

I doubt it. Unless Kendrick pokes at someone else. Drake doesn't have that in him. Kendrick might. But so far he's winning.

Personally it's fun to see two talents go at it. As long as it stays a battle of talent. Pac and biggie were actually friends. Diddy and suge were the problem. Pac thought biggie was behind his assignation attempt. That's when it got ugly.

The lawyers are gonna win this rap battle.

I love this story so much. I see this being me and Em in a few years. For now she hates Kendrick. She walked out. She makes us change the radio when it comes on. Her grandmother is very proud of that. 😆

This.
I couldn’t name a KL song, but I thought it was really good. He is really respected as an artist vs other “regarded” rappers.
No body parts being blurred out, words beeped out (I don’t think), no WAP’s being talked about,… small victories.

I remember when my dad bought KISS Alive on 8 track and listening to it in the car. I was about 5. I’m rocking with my tongue sticking out and I see my dad staring at me.
He says “Do you like this shit?”
Me- “yeah.” 😝

… I didn’t pay that much attention to the game… But when it I heard something about halftime in the background….The next thing I knew the halftime show was over… I had been waiting for something to catch my musical ear…There wasn’t anything musical as far as firsts thirds and fifths that I heard… I know who these rappers are because @NEIGHBOR GIRL has educated me… She also is very aware of good music when it comes on…

It was boring. We kept waiting for "something" or "somebody" to come out and liven it up.

And no disrespect meant to Lamar, I've read he is a decent guy. Then again, not my genre.
Probably the best way to describe it.
And, I too was waiting for some hot chick to have a wardrobe malfunction 😂😂

He just takes the opportunity to call out a rival (Drake) and call him a pedophile during his performance at the Super Bowl of all places. The whole Jay-Z produced show was trash and I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that…

Prince put on a great show back in Miami almost 20 years ago. The Boss put on a good show as well.

The rap genre just isn't good in that scale of production in my humble opinion.

I feel dumber this morning for wasting my time watching the whole thing. Popular culture is just not for me, be it professional team sports, music, or events like the SuperBowl. The saving grace was a couple of the commercials.

I always find the Professional Team sports championships particularly interesting. They seem a great distraction from life that allows everyone a common talking point for about a week.

I get it, I'm in the minority, I've just never understood how people can spend a whole day in front of the TV each week watching other people play football. I find it even more odd when people take ownership of their favorite team and inject themselves in the story. "We had a bad day", "He is a drain on our team" We are gonna beat you" Genius Marketing.

I especially loved the commercial where they implied Football was about selling food. That was rich.

Hats off to the men and women in law enforcement, I was worried the whole place was gonna blow up.

Why not just show these clips at halftime?
It's pretty much the same time with the same people.

I watched the show, even though I don't watch football, I was at the Elks, so it was for gonna be on.
The wife and I were like, who is this dude, never heard a song from him before, so I had to google. I was surprised to find out, he's a Pulitzer prize winner, actually the first and only musician outside of Classical music, I thought that was cool, even though I don't know why. Then read, he's married to his High School sweetheart, and they have 2 kids, and are still married, thought that was cool and surprising. Dude also plays actual instruments, and does different types of music, not just rap. Then he called out that Drake due for being Pedo, again, sorta cool. Wife commented about at least all of his dancers and the routine or what ever you would call it were all Red White and Blue, and made the American flag at the beginning, again, sorta cool.

So all in all, I don't hate the dude.
