Most places suck now, fast food or not. Prices are sky high, the overpaid employees have decided to do less, so bathrooms and the place are filthy, food comes out warm maybe (never hot), and you wonder how they are still in business.

Exceptions are In n Out and maybe a couple other places where management hasn't checked out or thrown in the towel.

Not sure where Jack in the Box ranks but I sure do miss not having one here.
Have at it if you like it,haha

In 1993, a large E. coli outbreak linked to Jack in the Box restaurants resulted in over 700 cases, four deaths, and significant legal settlements, ultimately leading to major advancements in food safety regulations and industry practices

Those chicken places where you can smell the old grease just driving by.
Popeyes and Canes in this area.

In and Out and Culver’s seem to be the best quality
The number of people in line at Cane's is only rivaled by the folks at In N Out. Frankly I don't get it, as the chicken is not really any different than anywhere else and the sauce is bland. But Cane's is an off the chart hit in So Cal.

Shit Filet has some long ass lines ass well.
Went there for the first time ever last week.
Fn chicken sandwich ,fries and a Coke
Was over 18 bucks.
And it wasn’t even very good.

Same as Chipotle Friggen 18 for cold ass tasteless pork burrito. 👎

We ate lunch at Black Angus in Torrance today. Looks like our oldest Daughter got a job down that way and we were looking at apartments with her there, and in Redondo. Pricing of 1 bedrooms is a totally different story however, at the restaurant, one burger, 1/2 rack of ribs, the small 12 oz rib eye and a cheap bottle of wine was $175 with tip.

Black Anus... 🤣

Used to eat at the location in Tucson once a year , and that was because I got a gift certificate as an award from the company I worked for.

Canes at least the chicken is served screaming hot every single time. When I first tried it, by itself the chicken doesn't have any flavor which I wish they'd season it better. The sauce is ok but its the only way to add flavor.

I don't care about their Texas toast, fries or coleslaw, nothing exciting there either. Again dip the toast or fries in the sauce. That gets old after the first visit.

I'll go to Canes before just about any other fast food (exceptions are InO and a couple others).

This thread just made me hungry. I'm heading to Habit Burger for a cheeseburger, onion rings & chocolate shake. Seriously, heading out now...lol
Note: I'll spend almost $20 for that. Still not as bad as regular restaurants at least.

Canes is only good in-store eaten, fresh cooked, immediately served.. Doesn't travel well.

Don Ruben on Carson Street in Hawaiin Gardens about 1/2 mile east of the 605 is the bomb. Loaded Breakfast Burrito is about $8 and will fill your gut for sure. Drive about 1/4 east and Julian's will be some of the best Mexican food you'll ever have but not cheap. Both are highly recommended if in the area.

I like El Pollo Loco. Well grilled whole breast white meat.

Costco used to have an ok Barbeque sandwich. Eat it before shopping though because you don't buy it, you rent it. :)
I bought Elpollo for lunch today. Had a coupon for $35 for the 16 piece meal. Got a large chips and guacamole. Me and 4 guys and we were all stuffed. One on PCH in Torrance best 1 around. Same ladies for years. They always hook it up. Gave me 17 pieces and a dozen exta green salsas. $44 after tax with the 10$ off.

The El Torito not far from there on Hawthorne. Sit in the bat area. Happy hour every day until 9. Lately chicken fajitas are $10.99

I can ask my Realtor if She knows of any good 1 bedroom spots in south Torrance or Redondo. She manages a few in that area. Prices are crazy though.

Worst is Church’s chicken, not sure if those are just in the hood in LA or if they’re spread out.

Used to be one in San Bernardino. It was on a corner called “chicken corner” because it was also next to a KFC and some other chicken proprietor (Pioneer?). That are all gone now from that area.

I've heard that Pioneer was the far better chicken but I never got to try it. Haven't seen a Churchs in years. They probably lost out to the race to the bottom winner, KFC.

Apparently there is a revived Pioneer chicken in south LA somewhere. Along with another long lost place called Naugles (Mexican food).

Gave up on Carl's about 12 years ago, famous star used to be pretty good. Still get egg McMuffin or one of their biscuit sandwiches a few times a year but everything else is shit.

In N Out for sure. Carls Jr in the eastern Sierra because lack of options. Taco Bell out of nostalgia from high school because of the $.59 item menu and our way to get a “small block” which was 5 or so items for $3.27. In N Out is the only fast food place that at least acts like they care.
