My granddaughter Lilly Erickson placed 9th in qualifying at the world skate in Dubai she just turned 13 here. She will skate in the quarter finals on Friday.

She was only able to practice 3 times for 45 minutes in this bowl. She was having trouble finding her line and then boom come go time nailed it. It’s been bitchen being here for this and very proud of her. Congrats to the other U.S. girls also. Hope this vid will post

Thanx guys .We are so proud of her. We help out as much as we can,she has various shoe ,clothes ,type sponsors .She skates for Proper ride shop in Honolulu. If all goes according to plan she will be back on the world stage for the U.S. in San Jaun Argentina end of May then Rome in September? She trains regularly in San Diego at the training facility in Vista, financially travel poses the biggest challenge but hopefully the more exposure she gets the better. Thanx again for all the great post and I will try and update tomorrow,a lot of sand blowing in the bowl right now.

I'll be rooting for Lilly to have a great semi-round run in Dubai. Extreme sports require an incredible amount of dedication and practice. I've got a grandson who got into scooters about seven years ago. He's now 15 (almost 16) and finished out his junior division competition with two world championship victories and one U.S. title. This past October Lake Havasu's Tinnell Skate Park played hosted to the ISF world championships (see video of Revin's winning run --

). Three weeks later he traveled to Argentina to win the World Skate Invitational junior crown. And in December it was back to Tucson for the U.S. National title.

To reach this level is no easy task -- a personal trainer three days a week and the construction of a multi-ramp practice course in his backyard. His next appearance will be March 10-11 at Premises Indoor BMX/Skate Park in Tucson along with two other Lucky Scooter pros for lessons and a Park Jam.

Lilly didn’t make the cut but had a great skate,ended up at 23we are all very proud of her and looking forward to San Jaun..pulling for Heimana and Taylor in the mens semi
