Who do you work for? You mentioned heavy civil.I've rented a 275t AT from Champion. It was $10.5k for a day. The crane itself was probably around $3500 or $4000 on an 8hr minimum. The counterweight trucking on these big cranes and manpower to get them operational for the pick is where the bulk of the money is spent.
Thanks for sharing your photos. I love big iron and working with cranes, it's by far my favorite part of my job! I've thought about finding a job solely doing heavy lift planning and design, but working for a Heavy Civil GC provides a lot more variety that keeps things interesting.
