With winter fast approaching most of us put the boats away and enjoy offroading, skiing ect..

Question is given the state of the economy and availability of goods how many hours, miles, trips, nights whatever measure amount of time or distance will you be doing for your extra fun hobbies this winter!

For me we offroad.

I will very likely have 1000 miles on my new to me rzr before x mas this year and likely 1500/-2000 before season end in March time frame.

This is about normal for us every year too.

No multi day trips planned. Someone here needs to plan another Alamo trip. 😉

It’s not a hotel stay but a cabin stay (bed, ac/heater. Showers and toilets near by.

Biggest problem is food

Mexico is either 2023 fall or 2024 fall for us. I will be doing a tecate to Cabo ride for that one 1500 miles

that would be me. Laughlin is only a day away or a long day ride there and back.

We have a ride in a few weeks

Day 1 is havasu to Alamo lake to yucca to kingman (over the mountains)
Day 2 kingman to Boulder City
Day 3 Boulder City to havasu
Totaling 478 miles

Maybe one trip a month towing someplace for rides. Will keep it close in Havasu for other rides.

In the past, it was trailer the rzr from Havasu to Glamis once, sometimes twice a month. Switched gears with the new RangerCrew this season, towing to Utah for 7 day trip, and starting to plan another one that might take 10 days. Don't know why, but might tow it to CA for a couple day rides in between work schedule.

Hoping to have a few more weekends on the water still. As for the winter hoping to pick up an off-road car to start enjoying It along with our Jeep. Life is too short to stop what the wife and I had planned for the last 30 years. Hell I think that my body will give up before the wallet, then there is the check book. If the shit really hits the fan there are the credit cards. Don’t worry if the credit card come out I will banish myself from RDP For not paying cash. I gotta the rest of your backs & RDP. 👍

It all depends. Daughter made travel volleyball (Nov-June), so that is causing calendar issues.
Desert - cancelled the SD Jeep Superstition Mountain MLK weekend (daughters has a volleyball tournament in OC). Have KOH planned (first weekend), AZ Peace Trail (attempt #2, full loop in April). Then will do daddy / daughter quad weekend in March. No other trips planned at this time.

Snowboarding - already planned - week at WinterPark last week in Dec, Jan semester break at Mammoth. Looking to add another long weekend somewhere dependent on snow.

Bring on "white dirt" season!!! Have a number of sled trips planned to WA, MT, CO and N.AZ. I ordered a sled deck for the truck so I fully intend to get some use out of it.

As a SoCal boater (Big Bear lake primarily), yes we pull the boat out at the end of every season and switch to desert.

Boat is already scheduled to get pulled on the 12th. Prepping the RZR as we speak for a shake down trip next weekend.

Kids have been asking to ride dirtbikes all summer and it’s been too damn hot. The sweet spot between too hot and too cold is now.

I can’t wait for these kids to be old enough to ride dual sport up in the mountains.

Day trip planned to Sand Mountain this Saturday. We will probably go out the 23rd for the day and avoid Halloween weekend out there.

We will go out camping at least once a month out there during the winter depending on the overnight temps.

How many do the cabins sleep and what do they cost
Interested on info as well. 👍 Might not be able/invited this year but would like to have an idea of what it is about. 😁

I'm slammed with work but I do plan on heading up to Mammoth for some midweek skiing. I'm sure an Adventure bike ride will come up but no plans on camping this winter.
