Windshield Wiper Blades

My truck takes pinch tab type wiper blades. Anyone know which company makes wipers that use that type of blade rather than using some silly adapter. I know I can always resort to OEM but they think they are made of gold.

Bosch Icon OE are hands down the best. I get years out of them.

I'm going to state that Rain-X makes great wipers. Of all the ones I've tried they are the only ones that don't skip, squeak or do other stupid shit, and I get at least two years out of a pair ( I live where it snows which is harder on wipers).

I bought the rubber inserts on amazon so I could retain my oem blades and stainless ribs.

In Phoenix, you might make it through one summer. 120 degrees baking on glass ruins them by the end of monsoon season. Also very sunny all year. By the second year, they will fall apart.

Yes , these are the best deal around by far . The same blades at auto parts store are like $25-30 !
In Az , outside they barely last 1 year , in BBC a garage , maybe 3-5 years .

The Costco Michelin ones sucked on my Audi. Above 60mph they lifted off the glass and chattered. Ended up going Bosch OEM that cost twice as much but work well.

Sadly, all about the same price even the OEM ones from the dealer. Buying from the dealer will require no silly adapters,

Just get the OEM part number and plug that in on Amazon or eBay. Most of the time you can find your blades much less than the dealer. The factory Ford blades for my F150 have been value-engineered to a lower quality from their original part number so I bought some Bosch Icons that I haven’t installed yet, but I have them on hand. I used to get 3+ years on the factory GM blades for my Chevy out here in SoCal. Not with the factory Ford blades.

Edit - Holy crap, Icons are f’n expensive - $70 for a pair! They better last longer than the Ford wipers.

Mine don't get cooked to the glass here, but when they no longer work well, cleaning them with washer fluid makes them work nearly good as new.

Shocked to see how much it is for a new pair too. More then 25 each last time mine fell apart.

Isopropyl alcohol works great for cleaning wipers.

I get the cheapest ones at O'Reilly's, you have to ask for them from behind the counter. In Havasu they barely last a year no matter how much you spend. And yes I use mine to clean my dirty windows.

Ended up with the OEM wiper blades from the dealer. With the discount they were cheaper than aftermarket and no adapters needed. Looking at my maintenance logs it looks like I never replaced them and the truck is a 2012.

Rock Auto is another good option for things like this. They have a large selection of brands, many times the OEM parts too, and shipping is not to bad. I like to combine things like oil, air, cabin filters, wipers etc..

For example, 2024 Silverado you can get the cheapest wiper blade for $2.09 ea, or bump up to a Trico or Hella brand blade for less then $4.00 ea. The OEM AC Delco for $11.30 ea. if you really want GM blades.

Looking up a Ford F150 the prices are about the same, starting at $2.00, and they do offer OEM Motorcraft wipers for $15.85 ea, if you want OEM.
