Seen this a few times over the years, figured I post it, raceway history.

Sunny Moon jumped out at 160mph when the throttle stuck, he only had minor injuries if I remember correctly.

I remember going to the drag races at firebird as a kid many times. For years, spectators were able to wade into the water in front of the grand stands to watch the races. I remember standing knee deep in the water watching races. Good times

I made it to the track by about 8 Friday night, stayed with my buddy from highschool that had a tie hauler parked at about the 300' mark.

I'll admit, I love flats, and the BGF class did not disappoint. I know a bunch of the guys racing so I really paid close attention to them.

I absolutely love all the old school paint and the vibe that these guys have. I think I got shots of the entire field in the staging lanes along with a few BAF and PCF

I wandered around Saturday night, hung with @bagged97taco and his crew for a bit, they had their hands full that night! I'll let him tell the story lol Also hung with the Westerfield crew for a wile and just enjoyed being at the track.

I left at dawn Sunday morning with quite the hangover but it was totally worth it!

SDBA signed a 3 year contract with the track, so it looks like we're good for 2 more years of racing! I will make plans to be back next year for sure

Yea we did have our hands full. Long story short we were drinking some beers after qualifying, decided to fire up the ol hotrod to impress some fans and friends. Well it wouldn’t start. So we put a new starter in. Still wouldn’t spin over. Well it spun the ring gear off the flywheel. We were lucky enough to be able to pull the engine and bandaid the flywheel to make it to first round! My buddy Sam did his job. Got the better start and ran his quickest pass of the weekend but we ended up getting beat. Hard to keep up with the money in the BGF class. Looking for sponsors to help with that now!! After everything we went thru on sat night. It was a win in our book.
