Is this something that happens a lot with her? If not then maybe she has sniffed out some bs drama before it starts. [emoji1591]

Well by the looks of your wife. I would say pick her first.

Although I would ask my buddies we if she has a single friend to come along when ur wife won't go, cause ur friends are going. [emoji12][emoji202]

Okay now expand this to family. I married a great women, much younger than me. I am 56 she is 38. I had kids from a previous marriage who are grown and gone, but once one of my boys got married, she hates the daughter in law. I mean really hates, to the point where, I don't really see my son as much as I want. It is always uncomfortable. My wife is great with my friends but not my daughter in law. the daughter in law is okay, employed not a lot of drama.

I love my wife, but she has to grow up and she is holding on to this immaturity.

My wife never had kids and wants them, but I am done raising kids.

I got a buddy who comes on my boat, at first everyone got along, then my wife didn't mesh with his wife and friends wives that they would bring. So this now puts me in a weird situation because if buddy and his wife or the other folks wives come on the boat, my wife will not go on the boat. I have no problem with anyone, just want to go to the sandbar and chill out.

So she has to mesh with everyone or she ain't going..

Anyone have to deal with this?

So let me get this correct. You invite people to come with you on your boat and THEY invite people to go on your boat. HELL NO!!!!

It's people that we have met a few times so it was cool. I don't want the wife to have to get buzzed to be able to hang with people. There is an age gap since we are in our 40s and these folks are older. it is SW Florida and all.

So what...you guys don't like old fuckers now!!:beer:p

Tell your buddy's it is time for them to get their own boat. Wife comes first.

Completely.

That was the foundation of the post. I like everyone's company but if it means she won't go, then I got to figure out how to tell them to pound sand. Something I really don't want to do.

Get a smaller boats that's doesn't seat that many people or a two seater sea doo and they can't go nowhere to sit 😊

I'm pretty lucky...my wife for the most part is pretty easy going and gets along with most people...if she doesn't then there's a pretty good chance they are the problem...me on the other hand...

So very, very true on our end also.

Oh yeah, that's why I didn't get an open bow!

My rule is not to take people other than my family to the river. If I do, it has to be someone that grew up going to the river and knows the ropes. Most of my friends have boats and we all have different types. When the kids want to tube, we jump into a buddy's. When the boys want to take a hot lap/booze cruise they pile in with me. When it's wakeboard time, we go with another buddy. Much of the time its a couple EZ-ups, a fishing pole and checking the prop while shooting the shit. I couldn't imagine having to be the sober one driving around a bunch of people all day with wives telling me where to go. Ugh!

That's a tough call, I have been there too many times with the ex and the current. I will not allow my significant other to ruin every one else's good time nor will I have some else's on board if they are the problem...its easy to toss a comment but that's a bitch of spot to be in.
Good luck
