Went out to visit some old friends that retired there and they love it, my question is what is there to due there other than golf and become a cowboy? Any good lakes within an hours drive? Did a quick annual weather search and 105 June, 107 July, and 105 August averages, seems to be 8 to 10 degrees cooler than Phoenix?
The actual golf course and homes sites in the ranch are amazing, the developer did its homework!

The nine hole executive course in the middle of the development was bad ass!

Camping and outdoor stuff an hour north up here, along with Whiskey Row and such. Pleasant is maybe a half hour? Winter time there's lots of offroading down there. Close enough to the big city for all your "stuff", but far enough away for other "stuff".
I don't golf, so the rest of the stuff is what I look at.
And yes, during the winter, that's the roping capital of the world! No less than three cash pot competitions a week, lots of big timers "snow bird" there.

We did a weekend there with Shea Homes. Gave us a house for 2 nights for 200.00 and a give card for 200.00 which we used for golf and dinner.
Would i live there, no. You’re paying a ton of cash for what’s left for lots with hardly any view.
I like the area but i hate neighbors right next to you.

Get ya some boots and a hat and you are good to go.

Of course you gotta eat a burger and have a shake at Screamers :)

Friggin Lunatic Fringe had me chomping at the bit after I saw him eating there on Saturday. So I went by there today with a watering mouth and.....they were closed for Presidents day :(

Dammit

lol

I think I could settle down out there but it would be on the outskirts. Maybe 15-20 minutes out would be ideal.

It does get dusty and windy thru the entire area.

If you have Grandkids the rodeos, etc are all family oriented.

I was just looking at some of the homes in there. A 9 hole exec course....how many times can you play that before you are bored shitless? lol

For almost 600K you can buy a very nice place a bit out and have privacy.

I never understood moving to the middle of nowhere on top of each other. I guess its better than being on top of each other in the city.

Try the home made breakfast burrito at the 76 station across from the Maverick store.

Gas station cuisine? I usually grab something at either Screamers or the Filbertos or whatever it is called at the Shell station by the Ford Dealership.

They have a little deli in the mini market and a lady cooking up some nice homemade grub. Try it next time you go through there in the morning. LOL you won’t need lunch.
