The following thoughts may just be totally wrong here but being a private parking lot, there might just be a slight gray area of sorts in some situations as described above.
Had it gone bad for you that day, the cost of it might have been worth the try to challenge it should the owner of the private property not had given pervious permission to LE... < Bad deal all the way around though.

Meh. It was obviously a ridiculous demand on his part, but it wouldn’t be worth the fight. I’ll just move my car.

Did I say anything about parking a full size truck in a handicap stall? I'm talking about people who can get by without a handicap placard but choose to use the handicap stalls for convenience. I have a full size truck. You know what I don't drive when I need to utilize the HC stalls? My full size truck.

And what the fuck does CCW have anything to do with this?
I read it as if there is a full size truck in the disabled persons parking space, with correct placard, then the person must not have a disability because it's a full size truck that would be hard to get in and out of, not a wheelchair outfitted minivan. Not all disabilities are visual.
CCW comparison was if they can drive a full size truck they shouldn't be allowed to park in a disabled persons stall, even with placard, because no way someone that has a full size truck has a disability, because people are looking for visual disability. Like saying a wheelchair bound person shouldn't be able to carry because they have a physical disability. If you qualify, you qualify.

all I see is you gained a whole lot of wait really fast. Couple years ago you were dying. Hard to keep up
Yep and yep. I almost died 3-4 years ago. Ironically, with today being Thanksgiving, in 2020 I had a Doctor tell me the first week in November that I would most likely not make it to Thanksgiving 2020. Since then I have packed on about 15-20 lbs. Running/jogging/walking has always been my go to exercise my entire life. Over the last few years I'd get some pain in my hips occasionally and I'd work through it. It's gotten so bad as of late that I have trouble walking or even standing for that matter. Hence the weight gain. So December 17th I get the first of two full hip replacements. I'm really looking forward to it. And now you're kept up.😜

Wide spread abuse!....

Kids not restrained in proper child seats and handicap parking abuse were couple of my pet peeves....

Regarding the lifted truck thing. When I take my Dad to places like Mammoth, Supercross etc.. I drive my Tremor that's mildly lifted. So I'm the driver and he's the passenger. He can actually get into my truck pretty well as he pulls himself up into the truck with his upper body strength and gets him on the big steps on the truck.

And when I see people overweight in wheelchairs, you just never know their story of what they're going through. What came first the weight or the chair? We have no idea.

Most of us are so lucky we don't have to use a handicap spot.

Getting old sucks, and it ain't for pussies..

Back in the day, I parked in a handicapped spot once without a placard. It was a Saturday, in front off my own building, we were closed, we were wholesale and not open to the public anyway, and mine was the only car in the parking lot. A cop drove up, saw me through my office window, called me out with his loudspeaker, and told me if I didn’t move my car, he was going to write me a ticket. I pointed out the pertinent facts, but of course that just made him angry.

I have no idea who pissed in his Wheaties that morning, but he took that handicapped parking rule pretty seriously.
If there were no other cars in the lot, why did you choose the handicapped spot?

Here in town, there are 2 lifted 4x4's with disabled veteran plates. One is a newer CC Chevy. Both driver side doors slide outboard, and a lift drops him down. He's a bit older, looks to be near 70 I'd guess.

The other fellow is maybe 35, lifted Dodge. Met him at the range  He pushes the door open, grabs his folded chair from the back seat and kind of pops it open as he lowers it down. Added a grab handle on the door, and one on the floor.
Hell, he can park anywhere he wants. Kid has earned respect by a lot of the old timers and youngsters alike...he's a badass product of the Marines!

I drive my Dad and his wife around, and use their placard because his wife needs it. Same as others mentioned, when I jump out Im sure I get looks, but then I proceed to get the folding step stool out the back for his wife and put it by her door and she makes her way out slowly.

I would never use a spot or get a placard for no reason, I feel like its Karma and I should be happy to have some mobility still.
