Post some pics! I'm thinking of putting some custom wheels on my trailer and I wanted to see what everyone else has on theirs.

I have 18 inch Helos on my trailer. This is the best pic I have, but you cannot really see them to well. Jsquared here on the boards has the same ones (Demoman's ) old boat.
These are pretty much identical. These are also Helos.

Do you know what size the tires are and how wide the wheel is?

Not positive on tire size, but the rim is a 18x8. I want to say the tire may be like a 245 or 255.

Do you know if your fenders are the standard size ones for Extreme trailers? I have an Extreme trailer and I'm trying to figure out what wheels will fit.

I think mine may be a little wider. I would call Extreme they will be able to tell you what you need and what works.

Just go to the wheel sites and pick something you like. How hard is that?...

:D:thumbsup

When you say custom, do you mean store bought or one off manufactured? :D

I'm sorry Grads. According to the collective definition of custom, that does not qualify. I'm going to have to ask you to go ahead and change the title of this thread. MMMMKKKK

I mean store bought and anything other than chrome 14" wheels.:D

X2 as far as trailer tires go only a 14" combo works. My old rims had low pro car tires on them. They were alot wider than 14"s and made it hard to manuever by hand.

My current tires are 215/75/14's and I still have plenty of room between the top of the tire and the fender. I'm more concerned on the width, bolt pattern and how big of rim I could go with.

Only decent pic I found. I have 1 1/4" wheel spacer to run these. Had issues with one of those wheel spacers last week too. :grumble:

I think I'm screwed because my fenders are only 9" wide.

Just an idea... put the wheels and tires you would like and build the fenders to fit. I have a slip roll and a drill of you need a hand.

I put nice Centerline wheels on the trailer for my first boat, which was a 20' Hallett. The trailer wheels matched the wheels on my truck and looked pretty cool. I had so sissies with them over obeyers, mostly because I couldn't use bearing buddies with the wheels due to how the center caps were designed.

After that, I decided that a boat trailer is just something to transport the boat around. I want mine to be in good shape and in top condition functionally, but I don't care to have a blinged out trailer. Not the opinion of most on here, but that's my 2 cents.

I'm running Honda Civic steel rims on my mini boat trailer. They look great. :thumbsup

The hub hole had to be cut out because my trailer hubs were a little bigger than the hole. Once cut, I had to grind off the cutting torch boogers to get the wheels to rest flat against the hub.

It looks pretty good but I'm thinking of trying to find a set of Honda hub caps to really sweeten it. :thumbsup
