Understand. I'm not focusing on saving money more to rid of the salt.

With only two people in the house would a parallel system be needed or advised?

Could you suggest the filters in order? Sediment, charcoal, softening?

Sure, I'm at work so I'll put something together later today.

What city do you live in.
We can see what they claim the hardness is in a report.
Do you know what softener is in place now?

My water at lomita house is terrible. They are currently working on a whole new system. Installing the water mains now. But it literally stinks when I get back from the River and have not used it for a few days. Out of the 4 places I pay for the water. They are the only ones charging a monthly fee even if you use no water.

The water at Echo. Is straight out the well. The water in the river is cleaner. They don't treat it because it's considered a transient park. If they allowed you stay more than 5 months they would have to treat it. It comes out brown. I have a cheap sediment filter. Few neighbors have done high end setups
But the filter cartridges are toast after a trip or 2. Or if there is a repair and system shutdown and back on
It will destroy your cartridges. @Echo Lodge can post some pics or vids how bad it is.

Awesome. Sure I'm in Lake Havasu and the soft water unit is a 15ish. year old Culligan.
