That is just horrible news. I loved reading up on him and know you loved him very much. I had an American Bulldog years ago that my wife and I took in. She was only with us a very short time before we found out she had stage 4 cancer. We were able to give her a happy dogs life for the less than one year we had her. She was awesome and loved to hang out with my other pup Roxy. Roxy taught her how to catch a rabbit which she did one time. She walked around with that rabbit for hours proud of herself As said....ya, sometimes life isn't fair.

What's sad about this deal is my Wife and I did a couple of senior rescues before him, took a few years off. When I saw the pictures of Huck on here I couldn't resist, thinking we are going to get a dog that will be with us for a long time for a change.

I too some how missed this thread. I've been FB friends with ponch for quite a while now. Ponch was always talking about Huckster.
Read about Huck on FB this morning. Of course I had to read the whole thread and was in tears half way through the first page.
He certainly had a wonderful life though.

We had a lot of fun; he was welcome everywhere. I have friends that are not dog people and they were cool with Huck in their home.

It's making me think long and hard about his food, treats and water I gave him. I have no answers but I'm definitely doing some research before we get another pup.
