If you’re going to do the swim step be prepared for some sticker shock. I was quoted about 7-8k installed. Great boat, enjoy! 🍻
Swim platforms in Phoenix. Not as fancy as the one that stole there name in Havasu. But I am very pleased with mine. Price has probably gone up as it's been 6 years or so. But under $3K installed.

That looks great and that’s a solid price. Did you drag it down to phoenix to get it done?

Yes. You can do the template route but I didn't want to deal with it. Left Parker at 8 am was at there shop by 930 and back on the road by 10am. I did it in the off season. They prefer to ship as they make thousands of them for production boats. Not really a install facility but they handled it all. I dealt with Tracy. But met the owner when I picked it up. They have the templates for most boats already. They now the template for the cobra 260 so it would be easy to just order it and pick up and install yourself or have any shop install it.

Yeah Eliminator is 8500 bucks for theirs.

The guy in Havasu is 5500… I almost think it’s “worth” the extra in having eliminator themselves do it since it’s their boat… but either way there’s some sticker shock. It may be a next season type of thing anyway.

After the first wipe down I think I’m going to take it to Griner and have it coated. 😬🤓

I wouldn’t skimp on the swimstep. It’s not so much the swim step itself but the way it’s mounted. Either it feels solid, and is solid, or it rattles and drives you nuts, or it causes cracks to form because it wasn’t braced properly.

Don’t just through bolt, back that through bolting with a backing plate at least a 1/4 inch thick aluminum plate and spread out the load on the inside.

Eliminator did a first class job on the swim step we added to the 26, and then did it again with the 30. Made both boats 100% easier to deal with boarding from the water, as well as getting people away from the sharp metal bits, when they jump in.

This is my thinking as well. I’ve seen booth companies steps, and eliminator didn’t fuck around with their brackets etc, they also said they’d match the gel coat color of the rear of the boat, which is nice.

I took this pic of the 2021 FunDeck at Horizon when I was snooping around the swim step.

I also need to find a solution for the two front seats folding open on their hinges in any kind of wind or chop 😂

For sure. The stuff I had would just come un-stuck from the fiberglass. Just need better adhesive I reckon

I was thinking a high quality velcro cut nice would look good. My wife did this with our couch cushions. :D

Yep! Bringing it home from Don Burda’s place.
Don Burda did mine too. Great guy and really cares. Gave me all kinds of options. I was kind of amazed how cheap it was for how much effort he put into it.
