Everything I own is pre 90’s. Most is pre 75. Here is most of the fleet. I had an '88 that I totally regret selling. That color combo is my favorite. I'd like to find an 89 T-top one. Thanks, it's my baby. Full Griggs suspension and brakes, 331 and 2900lb curb weight makes it a blast to drive
That's a bad MoFo Chris. The wife has always wanted a Orange Nova or Nova Wagon just like this.
One thing I can't help notice, is the growing number of 4 doors being restored. Seems in the past they were usually overlooked in favor of the more sleek appearance and cool factor of the 2 door models. I'm sure supply vs demand was involved.
Yes the estate'sYou live in Ramona ?
Nice car
4 doors are a lot more practical. Trying to load your friends in the back seat sucks with a 2-door. Especially if kids are involved.
OK, I can wrap my old man head around 4 doors becoming popular simply because 2 doors are becoming so scarce in the "Oldies but Goodies" world of find-em-and-fix-em-up --- but YOU wrote PRACTICAL
Trust me I understand practical, age has beaten that into my thick skull more often than I care to state or even recall -- I mean, life gets really real when you find it's your ass and ability to enter and exit a vehicle while maintaining some degree of dignity that's dictating your purchasing decision. But you wrote actually wrote PRACTICAL --- Oh My, I'm so sorry.
Just kidding
Love your Gen 2 El Camino, I want one bad, but I've gotten so spoiled with the PRACTICAL Screws, I have no idea how my wife and I used my 85' SS El Camino for so many years traveling between Havasu and Home. Seems now I suppose because we have the interior space, we seem to fill it to the max each trip.
My first car at 16' was my 57' Ford Stabbin Wagon, now that was practical for a kid living at home, when I totaled it, and it got replaced with a 64' F85 Cutless, my sex life went to shit.
I was mentioning you to my son the other day because he lives in Ventura. Hadn't heard of your business, but has certainly seen your cool bus. What's under the hood sir ?
So yup, at 73, I fully understand practical, it's an anchor I'm firmly chained to.
The Bus has a compound turbo 12 valve cummins. Funny you mention the stabbin wagon. Taking my wagon to shows you get the old ladies walking around tee-heeing about losing their virginity or conceiving their children in the back of one of those.
Here is a good video from Bakertuckey..I just found the Wings over Camarillo 2015 youtube I'll forward him the link to. I think it shows off a few of your cool rides, and great shot of the bus engine.
Most here will probably never have seen one, but have an '83 Avanti sitting in my sons garage. Actually his now. I'll ask him if he has any pictures.
But looking for a 1986.5 Porsche 928S five speed. Also looking for a Jaguar XJ12 series III. Both hard to find in the condition I want.
