Apparently they are back ordered now. I ordered one this past Tuesday and it says it will be delivered between October 19th and the 25th.

I think I'm going to give it a try once they hit stores.

My contract is up and I like my ipad/ipod. I think I want a simple phone that just works as I don't dick with the fancy extras that people think makes a droid better.

If you have one of the grandfathered "Unlimited" plans that have not been available for years then the Jailbreak makes sense.....other than that the new share plan does all pull from the same bucket but all phones/ipads on the account can be set up independently to access that "Bucket"!

We have 4 phones...3 with unlimited data

Were not using all that much so I think it will be a little cheaper to switch and run with 6-8 gigs per month.

We have wifi at the office and at home so they only time were using data is on the road

Blondies on my plan now and she has the limited data plan. She uses the shit out of the phone and never even comes close to using up all her data. I wouldn't sweat it.

Just keep an eye on data usage.
Over time, new phones, apps and features mean you will gradually use more and more data, not less.

Yes they are big. I like big, so I can see the son of a bitch and my big-ass thumbs have at least a remote chance of hitting the right friggin key. I hate phones in my pocket so not an issue. I think I found a leather belt holder online so I can ditch this clunky otterbox clip thing. I'm disappointed in the otterbox. I guess they're not intended for people who actually do physical work and bump into shit and so on. The cushioning is great but the plastic holder is a pretty delicate little flower to survive long in the work environment with phone in its grasp.

Stayed up all night playing on the new toy.
LTE is WAY fast on the new i5. Compared to i4 3g. Unlimited is throttled at 5gig for LTE, still 2gig on 3G. (On AT&T )
Bigger screen is great over prior iPhones.
Apps are running quicker with the new chip.
Loving the new i5.

Well as predicted cheap plastic belt clip on the Otterbox just exploded and phone hit the ground. Phone still works, Otterbox, not so much. On to plan B. Anyone that does construction or physical work, Otterbox belt clip not recommended. Lasted a little over a week. argghh. :swear

Well still no iPhone so I pre ordered a black 16 the first Saturday you could pre order. I go into AT&T on Friday the day the phone is released I could have bought a black 64 but I didn't want to spend the money. At this point I was thinking I should have bought the 32. So they have a white 32 and I'm thinking I don't wanna wait anymore but on the other hand I'm thinking no man should have a white phone. So I cancel my black 16 and order a black 32. So I'm sure I'm gonna have to wait longer now.

I've had my 5 for an hour or so.

So far, I ain't going back to Droid anytime soon. Primarily because my shop security cameras stopped working with Droid went to ICS. The cam app works great on the iphone.

Exchange seems to work great. All my contacts seem to be better organized vs Droid.

They are super easy to use. They also never balk, hang, do anything weird. If something comes up its generally some app that was added. You can easily find the culprit by shutting them down 1 by 1 and deleting it.

Very stable.

The thing I hate is iTunes.

I don't like the Otter because if its in my pocket with anything else...when I pull it out the pocket and all the contents come out as well. Got the effin 4S and the mother heats up so dang hot it shuts down saying the temp is too hot....it started doing this last weekend and I figured ok was outside in the heat all weekend....but last night it did it again in the house which was a scorching 72 degrees.:headscratch: Going to ATT store at lunch time today to see what they say.
