It's been a long time since I have been on this board. I apologize for my absence. I sold this boat to guy in Houston because I fell on hard times (unemployment). I'm getting back on my feet and I got a hold of the guy in Houston and he said he sold it to a guy in Chicago and that guy sent him a pic when it survived Hurricane IKE. So that guy in Chicago must be a member of this board because I only posted those pics on this forum as this is the only boat forum I post on.... because it rocks!!:skull:skull Anyway, if the member is on the board, please pm me. I am building a miniaturized version of that boat with a jetski motor. Need some pics under the bow. I'll send some pics of the boat when it is about halfway through.

Welcome back TH

Thanks RD. Sorry about posting a jetboat on this page. I stayed away because I was getting depressed looking at all of these damn beautiful boats and it made me miss mine that much more. I've rebounded with this little 2001 Paradise F-13
boat 13.jpg

It's a fun little replacement but I sure miss the Hawaiin jetboat. I'm actually building by hand a miniaturized version using a Honda Aquatrax turbo charged jetski motor. I see that Gelcoat can lead me to the new owner. I'll post pics of it when I get further along.

Thanks Gelcoater, I'll give jdrider a pm sometime. I would like to ask you a few questions about fiberglass over wood construction. I would like to fiberglass over the wood and when it hardens rip the wood out to be a total fiberglass. I would coat the wood with a release agent so it won't stick. Should I PM all my questions or should I go to another page?

Thanks for your help.

Shit man,I dunno?
I'm just a gelcoater:D

For what you describe I would be more inclined to use foam rather than wood?Seems like it would be easier to remove and cheaper than wood?

LOL I've been reading some of your threads, you seem to know your stuff. This is where I'm at so far. The middle run is going to be redesigned to create a more taper in the middle and make it more even with the outer sponsoons. This wood is very thin and light and 10 bucks a sheet. I've bought 15 sheets. It's easy to work with. So basically I'm going to be working backwards than what you do. I'm covering my project with fiberglass and give it the best finish possible, then spray gelcoat over the top of it. Sounds like Gelcoat is runny to work with. This will be an attempt to copy JRiders 17 foot pickle fork.

I pm'd Jrider about this boat

I know..... it's Hawaiian. Took the "A" out in case of copyright infringements.:D. Thanks for the welcome back.

I didn't want Hooters coming after me either so I changed it up a little too. :D

I responded to TeamHawaiin's PMs. I do not own the boat but I am almost positive that I own the mold. They only built a handfull of them around 1998. I believe his boat came out of my mold as there is a fan out test with yellow gel on the side of the mold. If anyone knows of one still around I would be interested in seeing more pics of the boat, specifically the bottom.

I have plans of building a test boat in outboard form as the cockpit is small, interior would be similar to an STV euro with small sun pad. I wanted to take on the project myself but my shop is cramped and heating/ventilation are issues. I have contacted Saber boats in Grand Rapids MI to have one laid up and would like to source the trailer locally also. If this progresses (which I am pushing for) I will keep this updated or start a new thread. IMAG0271.jpg
