So I love tools and tool boxes. So let’s see what you got! I will start. Nothing special. But a little of everything. I won’t post every compartment but both are full.

Nice! I suspect we might see some really high end posts soon. As for myself, I started a small collection of Snapon years ago. Every year I add a bit more to it. When my son was born, I cloned my set and have been building up 2 sets now...mine and his. When he turns 16 or so...I’ll give him the keys to a very nice set of his own.

I like.

I have to get some matting for my tool box. Drives me crazy when things roll around and get all messy.

I think my snap on box might weigh more than my truck. I moved that the other night, along with 2 of the 10 craftsman boxes I've got in the garage full of machine shop tooling. I'll post some when I find everything and put it back where it goes.

I am looking for a large toolbox. How do you like the Husky? Been looking at Craftsman but concerned with the longevity of Sears.

Love tools, even though I don’t use mine too much. My buddy got a huge Snap On toolbox off one of the ships after a deployment. Apparently they were just tossing them overboard. Blew my mind.

I watched them (the USAF) bury truckloads of unopened Snapon master tool sets out on Shemya.
And brand new roll aways.
Used D7 cats.

They had armed security making sure no one took anything.

I have more money in tools than all my subs combined. Everything for every trade except HVAC to build from the ground up. Just bought another chipper hammer yesterday $650 and a 8' ladder today. I must have 20 ladders and 3 chipper hammers. Just being used elsewhere.

I refuse to rent and have a thing for owning the best when it comes to tools. Just need more skilled Guys to use them all more often.

I can’t even get to my tools since moving from a 3+ car shop to a single garage...
I feel your pain! I can't even back up enough to take a picture.
Oddly enough, I have one of the bigger china freight top and bottoms, and a couple narrow roll-cabs. I skimped on the boxes, to pay for the fillings. I tend to have Mac tools...driver cuts better deals for cash. Currently have metal shaping tools stashed in horse trailer, and my old construction stuff in trucks and gooseneck trailer...got another bid coming for my shop building concrete Monday:(

Some nice setups! I'll have to take a pic of my setup while I'm at the shop tomorrow (my stang blew a casting plug out of the upper intake)

but I have a packed full Cornwell service cart that I mostly work out of and keep my specialty tools in my antique snap on taco cart with top. The taco cart stays pretty neat and organized but the service cart is only kept organized enough to find everything

I'm a tool nerd. I have a small Snap-On box my dad got me when I was young. 17 years ago. Figured he just got me my own set so his set wouldn't get touched. He still has tools wrapped in packaging in his box. I put the set to use keeping all the toys and whatever in running condition. I don't use it much anymore but I always appreciate the value and what it can provide whenever I open it up. I also have a mobile toolbox. 16 years old and 390k miles. Filled with all types of tooling for construction. Won't go into detail as there is way to much to list but there is an air compressor, generator, 35lb. jackhammer, concrete hand saw, vacuum, core drill, chipping guns, concrete finishing tools i.e. edgers, Californias, bull float, walking joint tools, poles. I go to Roseburrough Tools twice a month to add to the concrete tooling. The best part is I own everything. I take pride in my tools. Try to get USA made when possible. Very little of the tooling is from China and it is painful sometimes.

Husky or Harbor Freight boxes are great values for the hobbyist. Can't imagine having Snap-on or any truck brand boxes or tools for home/personal use for the costs associated with them. It would be a different story if I relied on them for my paycheck. Edit: I take that back. I bought a set of Snap-on screwdrivers because Craftsman discontinued their Professional line that had the really nice grips. I also bought some Snap-on pry bars off Ebay. I've broken one tool ever using as it was intended/designed - a craftsman 24" breaker bar (using cheap pry bars or screwdrivers as prybars/chisels does not count).

I can’t wait to move out of this little rental house.
It was necessary to move here, and it’s a nice little house in a good neighborhood and served our needs well, but I’m used to acreage and a shop.
Problem is I dont know where I want to live.
Wherever I end up I WILL have another shop!

Two Snap-On 78s, four 42" Listas, four Knaack boxes, 40' of 15' tall pallet rack, two Snap-on 11 drawer carry boxes for racing on the road, refrigeration equipment, electrical equipment, planers, joiner, framing and trim nailers, table saw, trim saws, cutoff saw, drill press, bead blaster, pedestal grinder, pedestal buffer, concrete tools, plumbing tools, sheet metal tools, floor jacks, compressors, pneumatic tools, surveying equipment, a dozen ladders, scaffolding, two sets Rol-a-Lifts, generator, hot water pressure washer, MIG welder, stick welder, acetylene torches, 2" pump, 5,000lb triple mast forklift, and a claw hammer.

I might have missed a few things.

Here is the box I keep at work and my roll around cart, funny thing is that 95% of the work I do is off of the little roll around.

Its funny how that works. About 4 years ago I put together a little 4 drawer carry around craftsman box with the basics...metric and SAE combo wrenches, 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2" standard and deep in metric and SAE, a handful of screwdrivers, pliers, and a bunch of other little bullshit. This was to be my road box and the box that I take to the river with me. I found myself mainly working out that for the last 4 years because it was closer to the garage door than any of my other boxes...and contained what I needed for just about everything I needed to do.

I have two of those same boxes on top of my Lista cabinets, and they contain enough tools to do stuff like timing belt changes and such.

It's a lot easier than opening eight different drawers of the Listas.

I'm so glad someone here doesn't have their shit lined up surgery room straight.... :D makes me feel better.

I've got a 36 inch Mac roll cabinet and am just about out of room. Mostly Mac, Matco and Snatch-On sockets and wrenches, plus some Sears and el-chepo tools I bought for one or two use type of situations.

I need a side box for more room.

I'm amazedd at the real estate most members have in front of their tools and or on the walls. My shop has every flat spot used to hand tools from, supplies from, to work on or to stack stuff on. I have a 26" craftsman box over full, located near the garage door and most of the automotive stuff in it, so when I'm working on the car I don't have to wade through the shop. Technically I could get the hood of a car in the garage if I had to...

Most of my stuff is close to the vise, laid out so I can grab while I work without searching.

I don’t have any fancy boxes but I do have enough tools to get a drywall company started. I’ve never had full easy access of my tools and because of that I can never find what I need when I need it. I end up rebuying tools for projects and have basically two of everything now. Once we get the new house and I have my own shop I plan on fixing that. Any doubles will go to the lake house. I’ve wanted my own shop for a long time and I’m so close now

Here’s my setup. Work in progress as I just moved in a couple months ago. All 4 boxes are pretty much full. I run a car repair business on the side so I’ve got a lot of auto specialty tools.

I use these a lot but hardly see anyone else use them. Can anyone guess what these are and what they're used for?

They are call sweeds and used for checking grade, I have a set but they are a touch taller, so I don’t have to bend my fat ass over so far

My tool boxes on wheels. Just hit the dump with 1 yesterday has literally a ton of tools and fittings on it just over 12k lbs on scale. The chop saw in back of the other I bought in high school along with every tool we had in wood shop at the time to make my own wood shop at home. I have all the mechanic tools as well to work on all the trucks, equipment, trailers including welder and plasma cutter. Just need to build the 3000 sq ft garage in back to build my dream work shop so we can build custom cabinets in house when needed.

This thread got me thinking I need another cart to organize garage more. Lowes had them 50% off other day. Head over and look now

How well do the tools stay put when opening & closing the case? I've had a problem with Craftsman & Husky. It's like they figured we would not use the case after purchasing but I find it handy.

I haven’t had the set that long nor have I traveled with it much but the tools seem very secure in the plastic molded case. I must say the case is a little heavy to lug around. There were a few comments on Amazon about the weight and I agree it’s a bit heavy. But oh well. I like all the extensions and universals. It isn’t packed with a bunch of useless Allen keys and stuff youaready have a million of.

I actually like it a lot Pretty good quality IMO. Its no snap on but I don't think its too far off of the craftsman. I got a great deal on fathers day sale.

Nice Cat, I just traded in a 226b3 for a new 232D enclosed cab. Everything feels much more refined, and having heat and AC is pretty nice compared to the open cab.

Nice! I don't use it enough to buy a new 1. That job site never got hot and with our weather no need for closed cab but if I worked inland would be a must. I want to get a mini X but have Cat BH30 backhoe attachment for now.
