I’m also looking for one just like the green one above, but it needs to be on the eastern 1/2

I had a Taco Trail 100 in about 1970. Cost was $200.00. Now they cost $2300.00 and they still use the exact same shitty rear drum brake. And the same centrifugal clutch.

I never had a Taco mini but my friends all did and even back then when we were kids I always like the look of the Taco forks/handle bars much better than the bent forward look of the other brands. The taco just looked bad ass. My grandson doesn't know it yet but his grandpa is going to build him a Taco. he's 5 so I have a little time to float the idea to his mom.

Kid down the block growing up had a Taco with an Ace 100 in it. Dangerous fast. His buddy had a 101b. They ruled the hood. Lol

Been trying to get motivated to restore my dads. Early 60s but don’t know what model. Any ideas?

I’ve always toyed around with it and had it running, right now it’s got a methanol flathead in it. Wanting to restore it original and classy but already having trouble finding replacement parts.

Definitely didn't come with that 5hp Briggs and the jackshaft has been removed which is pretty normal. Kind of up to you OG restore or restomod.

OG you would have to find a tecumseh engine as that is what usually came on them and put a jackshaft back on it, you can get a new jackshaft still. Personally I would do it how you would like, mine has a Briggs 5hp IC.

Yeah it’s an old kart engine we had stashed. Old Man said he doesn’t remember it having a Jack shaft. Was thinking a 3hp flathead. I’ve got 2 of them as well.

Can’t find the rear sprocket/brake disc as it’s pretty wore out

It definitely had a jackshaft, the brackets are still there. When using a jackshaft the sprocket goes on the other side and then an actual disk is used for the brakes on the side that the caliper is on, that sprocket can be used as just a sprocket or sprocket drum brake combo
