Picked it up finally. Only 35 hours with 2 years of warranty left. Now we need to figure out where to mount the pci radios or move the Rockford stereo controller to put the Pci radios there and upgrade the lightbars. Besides that, it is pretty turn key. The guy also gave us the sand tires.

You need springs asap. They are all collapsed
Planning on shock therapy. Just don’t know if we want to send it in and self install or wait until glamis season where they’ll do the install.

Take it to DC. Cheaper, faster, no shipping. You can bring in the shocks or the car.
Good looking car. Nice pick up.

What are you seeing? Is it the first rate springs or something else?
The uppers are shot. The lowers are collapsing too. My 2019 did it. They ALL do it. If all you ride is Glamis. You will be just fine for the most part. If you ride where it’s rough you will feel it. The reason for that is you are riding on a 300 pound spring rate “single” since it’s sitting on the main spring only. Vs a dual rate of say 164 lbs. this makes the ride vary harsh. See below for stock setup.

The other thing is I lost almost 4” of ride height. From the factory settings. I could have cranked the top collar down, but now your decreasing travel and increasing bucking even over small bumps thus making the ride more harsh. New set up below

Also to add factory doesn’t have true dual rate. Even with two springs it’s still only 1 rate. This is becasue there is not crossover rings. So saying just the upper soft spring is not a correct statement. Getting true dual rate. Means you can make the first 4” or so of travel soft if you want. Then it will get into bigger spring rate down into more travel. Thus taking way bigger hits from g outs. Couple with valving you can slow the rebound way down to help with bucking. Unfortunately you can only go so far with that.

Thanks for the knowledge, even though I will probably replace the springs anyways it’s always good to know what to look for when buying used. I would have never guessed springs collapse on them after a couple years.

The car will literally be lower every time you drive it off-road, even off the showroom floor. If the tender springs are collapsed, they are smoked.

The stock springs these come with are junk. Even if you don’t do the valving, change the springs.

Mine are just about done at around 700 miles and the car is definitely sitting lower and wider. I’ve measured the front width and it’s definitely a couple wider noticed it the 1st time loading it on the trailer.

We used DC for the YXZ. Problem was the Eibach stage 2 with revalving still wasn’t enough with all the added weight and it ended up needing to go to shock therapy. So had to pay twice in a way to get the proper setup. So thought we would just use shock therapy for the RZR just incase it heads that way again.

On the other hand, most of the people we know used DC for their RZR and have no complaints.

We do Glamis mostly, but some desert riding as well. So definitely have to have the shocks done. I’m sure even as it’s currently set up will be a huge improvement from the YXZ.

Another upgrade to the list is now he wants 35” tires for the desert so probably going to sell the stock ones.

Did you tell DC about the added weight? I’m sure they would have adjusted. They asked me all sorts of questions.

Weight, passengers. Driving style, location. Ect air pressures

I wouldn’t do 35”. Stick with 32/33”

Yep. We gave them all the info. They told us we added a lot of weight when we told them the numbers. I believe it is just shy of 2350lbs now fully loaded. I swear his toolbox alone weights 60lbs. It was a night and day difference after they did the YXZ. But, in Glamis we can’t keep our speed in the bugger dunes because we bottom out at the G outs. It’s adjusted as much as it possibly can be with the current shocks. In the desert it does just fine, still chatter.. but in Glamis, we struggled.

Yep stock springs are junk. Mine didn’t last 100 miles.
