Got mine in the mail this morning, dropping it in the mailbox on my way home from the shop tonight. I wish i would have done this a long time ago, so much easier than waiting in line at the polls... there were a couple of ballot measures along with the presidential and congressional races, one was to give the state legislature some special power, via state constitutional amendment, to convene a special legislative session under "extraordinary occasions".... sounds like an excuse for more power to be abused.
Then another one to raise property taxes by $75 per 100,000 of value for school money, big fat no on that as well, the school administrators are wasting the money they have already, and property taxes are getting ridiculous, i never vote for tax increases by principle, i don't care what the purpose is.

Anyone else get this voting bs out of the way with a mail in ballot?

same here. done deal.

actually local yokal politician buddy of mine registered me up ,while he was campaigning for few of his crooked puppets. He literally was signing people up to get votes. Little did I know what POS guys he was backing....

The SOB registered me as a Friggin Democrat. That changed real quick when i finally realized it.

Got ours last week.
We're registered as permanent absentees, so they automatically show up for each election...we don't need to keep registering for it.

I asked my daughter today who she wanted to be president. She said Elmo. So that's who I'm voting for. :D

Every one of my family members request early ballots so as to not have to stand in line while the black panthers prowl around. :D

Entire state of Oregon is now mail in ballots..... Still waiting for it in the PO Box...
As blue as this state is, I'm sure we have many dead people voting for the Kenyan... Or just the brain dead in Portland and Eugene!!
At least I can cancel one out!!!!

X2, just standing in line with any colored people makes me nervous.

I am permanently registered for mail in. Doing so for 10 years. I think it's cool to experience voting at a polling place first time.

Our gated community has a polling place on site so it's easier for me to just cast my ballot on the way to pick up the mail in my golf cart. Might have 2-3 folks in line. Also have early voting starting next week a the local community center a whole 2 miles into town. Both quicker than filling out a mail in for us.....;)

A couple of elections ago they had early voting set up at the airport (when I was traveling like a mad man) and I was able to vote a few weeks early....there were no lines and it was great!

They stopped after that election stating that they were worried about voter fraud.......can you believe that....they were worried about Voter Fraud.....in CALIFORNIA:lmao

I think they were worried that there weren't enough of the RIGHT KIND of voters committing fraud.....who the hell wants voters that commit fraud who can afford a plane ticket and have the necessary ID to get through a security checkpoint (voting booths were past security)......oh well they probably have these booths set up in San Ysidro these days......just sayin':rolleyes

you guys are more trusting than i am. no way in hell I would mail my ballot in, and have total faith that it will be counted. just way too many ways for me to go wrong, post office screw up, handling issues after delivered, heck maybe even some disgruntled worker somewhere simply throwing away blue ballots.

I guess where you guys are in CA, where there is no chance in hell of your state going anything but blue, maybe it doesnt matter.

But here in NV, a battle ground state, its VERY close, and it could swing the election one way or the other. funny, I thought NV's couple measly electoral votes were small peanuts in the big game when moving here, now its critical.

NV does have early voting, where at many of the shopping malls there are manually entered electronic voting booths. you can conviently stop by, minimal lines, and due your civic duty.

side note saw a great bumper sticker yesterday, but couldnt get a picture. It said " One and dOne" of course with the O's being the Obamma logo:D

You don't trust mail in ballots, but you trust the voting machines at the polls? :p If they are going to screw you out of a vote then they are going to screw you out of a vote, there is nothing you can do about it. Absentee ballots, from what i know, have a verification system that you can go and check that your vote was received. But that doesn't mean shit can't be manipulated behind the scenes, i'm sure it does in some cases.

Absentee ballot is the way! I used to travel a lot for work and it just makes it simpler for me.
