My white privilege: the privilege to go out and bust my ass and make something of myself and take care of my family. It's there for anyone that wants to accept it.

On a jobsite I was called racist for not supporting illegal immigrants... Was called that by a union guy, who was running for BA. I guess he just figured I was tan from river trips? He was rather confused when some of the older guys there, who knew my Pops, explained I was a halfbreed...thus the tan.

I grew up in a great home, both parents and we(kids) were usually in the dark about times being tight. We grew up that way because Pops worked a lot. He only retired because of Mom getting sick...and she only retired because of that too.

I was "privileged" when I was young. I only know that now because I work to try and do the same for my kids...Very "Cat's in the Cradle", but that "privilege" didn't follow me out the door.

So sick of hearing about it all.....Suddenly every person of status and every company is putting their tail between their legs and donating/doing whatever they can to make things right and make this all go away.

Like all of you have said, if you want something bad enough you work hard for it.

I never went to college but instead worked my ass off- during those years out of high school when I should have gone to school. I dropped out of college and I chose to take on another job in addition to the 8 hour day job I was already working. I worked 2 jobs for over 8 years. When my friends were partying and bar hopping at 21 I was working my second job. I grew up with 2 middle class working parents, we weren't poor but we definitely weren't living high on the hog either. I knew growing up if I wanted nice stuff and toys, I needed to work for it all to make it happen. Same holds true today, and I trying to teach my kids the same thing when I feel like they are taking things for granted.

Everything I have (not that I have much) I have done on my own. I purchased my house when I was 23, I saved my money and did it on my own. I know times have changed but 23 year old kids today just dont have the same drive as many of us did/do.

If you use the word white privilege on a regular basis, then you enjoy watching your wife get fucked by her boyfriend. If you use the word white privilege on a regular basis, then you enjoy watching your wife get fucked by her boyfriend. Fucking cucks

I agree that the "White Privilege" is BS and you are who you make yourself regardless of your skin color or were you come from. If you work hard, stay focused you will prosper.

But I will also say its hard to tell anyone how to feel if you have never walked in there shoes, or experience what they have experienced. I would say that most inmates on here have not experienced racial profiling.

I myself have. I was driving with my wife then girlfriend at the time who is white, I'm Hispanic. We were in a predominantly white neighborhood. A Police cruiser came on the side of us while we were driving, they looked in my truck and saw my wife and I. Myself and the driving officer made eye contact and I got a kind of WTF look from him.

He slows down and gets behind us. I look to my wife and said " I think I'm going to get pulled over".

She says " Why, you haven't done anything wrong" .

Two seconds later they light me up. The officers come up to my window and ask for license and reg.

Before I can even give it to them they ask "what our relationship was to each other"?

I said "we are boyfriend and girlfriend".

The office asks my wife "how old old are you"?

She says " I'm 17 years old" .

He then asks me and I say " 18 years old" .

I ask " why" and he doesn't answer.

He asked my wife if everything was ok and if what I'm saying is true and she said " Yes of course" .

I ask " why I was being pulled over" because he still didn't say.

Officer says " You have expired registration tags"

I said " that can't be true because my registration is up to date and I just gave it to him".

Officer says " oh well someone must have stolen you registration sticker".

I was like "oh ok". He gives me back my license and registration and says I'm good to leave. Taken back by all of this I go to the back on my truck to look at my license plate and low and behold there was my current registration sticker. I look at the officers who just got in there car and were looking at me and I said, " hey my current registration sticker is still there" The officer just looks and me and shrugs his shoulders. I look at him and say "ok I get it". And I leave.

I will never forget how that made me and my wife feel. My wife was pretty upset about it. Heightened by the fact that her grandfather didn't really like her dating a "Mexican" even though I had never even been to Mexico. Then this happens by police officers.

Racism in America is still a very real thing.

I'm half messican, and I had almost the same thing happen to me. Was in HS at the time. The cops took off when she said she was fine.

In grammar school, it was mostly messicans and white kids. We has one asian kid to round out the mix. I think in third of forth grade, a black kid showed up. He lasted about a week. The bullies beat him up every day.

My lawyer/friend lives here in Glendora with me. Well sorta, he lives in a much better part of town than I do. Driving home one night, he was pulled over in his caddy. First thing the cop asked him is...

So who's car is this? Being a lawyer, he stayed very cool, and the cop let him go after he showed him his driver's license with a Glendora address. Guess his crime was driving while black. His wife is messican, and he has also gay son.

I worked with a guy that used the N word all the time. He also said faggots should all die. I always wanted to introduce him to my lawyer friend. I have no doubt he would have been as pleasnt as pie. I finally told my coworker to just STFU and keep his racist anti gay shit to himself. He didn't talk to me much after that.

You can joke all you want, but racism is still real these days.

My old man started working when he was less 10 at the family restaurant. Graduated High School and started out as a mechanic and now has a team of mechanical engineers that report to him with his High School Education. Hard work is a powerful thing. I have more respect for him then he'll ever know.

As for myself I had an awesome upbringing and my parents taught me the value of hard work. I graduated college and went to work in finance in the energy industry. I quickly found out I hated that sector of the industry and was in competition with some highly qualified highly motivated people to get out. I went to night school to get my masters. It was expensive as shit and the company didn't pay for a dime(I still write that check to Sallie Mae every month). I was willing to bet on myself though that I could make it work. I graduated, my career path hasn't been all sunshine and roses but it's been way uphill since then. At my current role I realized I needed an edge as well. I studied for a year to pass a certification test and barely made. Again it has paid off.

Yes I live in a big house in the suburbs, drive a fast boat that cost more then most new cars and some houses, drinking fine bourbon, and traveling. I worked dam hard to be able to do all this. I won't bow my head to anyone who says i'm privileged.

It's called "Working man's privilege" great for you and your family.

I lost my job in 08 and struggled like so many others. After a couple of years I found out that certain people weren't necessarily struggling but took a hit and they were looking for quality work at a good price for their toys. I started working on their cars (antique and classic cars, 1928 and up) and was able to make a living for several years until I started entering the mainstream jobs again.

Call me racist or whatever you want. I don't care about blm because they don't even care.

When they start doing something about the killings and crime they commit on themselves, i may start to care. But by that time I'll probably be dead and buried.

Sorry for the length

the entire white privilege is comical. I can only tell you how my family is blessed. My Dad was a full blown blue collar guy. He went into the Army for 4 years. After that he worked as a tool and die maker. But the money wasn't great and he had a family.

He never said anything to me and my brother but he had 2 jobs according to Mom. He worked at the tool and die shop the painted curbs at night. He fucking worked massive hours. He grinded and taught himself the business and became a sales manager. Then he went a bit bigger and became a sales guy for pneumatics blowers, vacuum pumps, compressors etc. During the lean years we never took weekday vacations and had to drink powdered milk because we couldn't afford the real thing.
He succeeded enough to start his own business and was a manufacturers rep for the pneumatic tools I listed before. After 20 years he sold his business and retired.... with a few million in the bank. You would never know it. Many of you have seen him in havasu. He could afford multiple high dollar DCBs, Skaters, etc. Nope...... he still roles in his 2001, 21 foot Ultra ( see pic)
dadsboat2004.JPG
and wears 20.year old jean shorts (you get to wear those at his age 😁 ).

He doesn't have any privilege and never has. The dude grinded

I'm confused here?

Barack Hussain Obama= Told a group of very successful Business people that You Did Not Build This.

What would he know about building anything let alone A Successful one?

I had a Man ask me a Question some time back= Who is the most discriminated person in this Country? after several guesses,he told me and I do agee.

A Young White Boy/Man, is the bottom of the Barrel. Just name someoneIllegals included have a upper opportunity.

Time to stop apologizing for being White and whoever does not like it well = It is what it is!!

P.S. Another thing that has been a Huge Issue with me for a very long time.

RESPECT= You Disrespected Me. REALLY, REALLY!! Well I'll tell you BOY, that's Right BOY!! You are Not born with Respect.

Respect, where I come from is an almost sacred word You Earn Respect, you earn it from your Peers, Your Teachers, Your Neighbors, Your Co Workers and in my Opinion from your "FATHER" If and when your "DAD" looks you in the Eye and telly you how proud he is of you. I am here to tell you it Is Everything and nothing else could ever Top that. Living up to your Father the Head of the Family's Hopes Wishes and Dreams, is Life Changing.

Now not picking on Blacks, but if I have heard one "JOCK" make the statement "You Disrespected Me" I have heard one hundred. You Uneducated ,Rude, Zero Manners and Class, Ungrateful for your God Given Talent, Un Appreciative for your Incredible Opportunity to make more money than most can only Dream of ,Can not carry on a Post Game interview with out being Self Centered, Obnoxious and Staying On Topic.

I disrespected You?

HOW?

You would have had to have "RESPECT" in the first place to ever be Disrespecting it.

You would not/ Did Not stand for My Flag For My Country.

No You get No Respect from me.

The Poor Old School NFL Players that had to take a Jb in the Off season to help pay the bills, Loved the Game, Loved the Fans,Loved their Team, Loved the Town they represented. They were "MEN" did not have Pussy Rules on how to hit, where could hit, did not have a fraction of the safety equipment, trainers. Most did not have High Priced Agents getting them Huge Contracts along with Endorsements. They Played for the Love Of The Game.

You Earn Respect= Start by being Respectful =

Keep biting the hand that is feeding you "BOY" and you may just have a sorry supprise.

I have heard/talked to so many just recently that have had it!! with this B.S. and I assume some will forget, maybe forgive or just return to the national Pastime.

But IMO just Too many things, To often by Too many Irrelevant (FILL IN THE BLANK)

One more thing that may be of importance to you members,Your Family,Loved Ones or Friends. Tonight = How many Surgeons in the middle of the night get "The Call" to get out of bed and Rush to the Hospital as they are needed to operate for hours to save a Soul they have never seen or know. They work as hard as a Human can and when the Operation is over and if it is Successful or Not. he knows he gave it all that he could and is exhausted,Physically, mentally and Emotionally.

What is his pay? it ain't Shit, especially if he just saved a Human Life. Now that "BOY" is Respect.

Now, Jock just please think hard what have you done? In the Big Picture= What have you done?

Disrespected You? Whatever!!
